I didn't say that Adam would be the only one who would sing with Queen. I know about tributes lol. I only said that Gaga might not be there, but I guess I'm wrong since they said he's performing with Queen. I don't care for Gaga so I didn't know about it.

Maybe Bowie, maybe someone else. There HAVE to be some old guard rockers at a Queen tribute. I mean, really, a tribute to rock legends with mostly young pop stars??? That would be odd. We've mostly only seen younger performers listed. I know they will bring in younger audience members. But how can you honor Queen without some of the other greats of their generation? Who else might be there? Robert Plant?

I don't have Direct TV so will be relying on the live feeds with many of you. What time is the show and does anyone have a time converter?

Why Dublin? Because Belfast is not that big when it comes to high end infrastructure, i.e. a hotel where you can dodge all the journalists, do final rehearsals without being heard, have meetings without being seen. The town of 250K people (twice that, if you include the suburbs) in a divided and for the longest time war torn region does not have a lot of A-list places to stay and move about. So they did a classic divide set-up: Half the big acts were known (i.e. Gaga, etc.), they get flown into Belfast and absorb the whole media hub-hub. They also get the few a-lister suites and places that are available within town. The rest of the A-listers and anybody who needs to meet in total secrecy stays in Dublin and does the two hour drive to Belfast by car. All music and entertainment oriented reporters are in Belfast, so in Dublin you book one of the luxury places or some private estate and you can be undisturbed. And all this makes sense no matter WHO Adam will meet and sing with and we know that there is something major going down, because just for Adam alone this secrecy just would not make sense. I am still somewhere holding my breath that the "Under Pressure" scenario will unfold, Bowie and all....hoping....hoping....hoping. If it does, that certainly would justify both the secrecy and the separate arrival plans big time. The fact that the BBC guy does not know when and how Adam arrives kind of proves that there is something going on. He probably saw all the big acts show up in Belfast and realizes that he is missing a few names that are on nobody's flight plan. Then he sent his tweet, trying to go fishing, if anybody had seen Adam or knew something he may have gotten a leak. But nothing. Adam is probably holed up somewhere secret with whoever it is he is meeting. At least that is my theory and I am sticking to it. I love all your details, but he stayed in London. I think the theory. someone posted, that the planes from London to Belfast do not have a first class cabin may be the right theory. The boy has gotten used to his luxuries! He stayed in London last night, but is he headed out of Dublin for Belfast today or tomorrow? I love your theory, craazy, and now am picturing him and Sauli having tea in some country home with .... nvm ;D 8-) Gaga's new single is something about The Night ... oh yeah! Marry the Night.

There will be many streams, (five, so far – tinafea had them posted on front of yesterday's thread; didn't check if they're on today's). I have uverse and DO get the channel, but not until 6:00 PST, so I will be watching the stream. Going to Radio Shack right now to pick up cables so I can connect computer to TV to use as a monitor. I THINK it's on 1:00 PST, so 10:00 a.m. for you. (Lucky! You won't have to wait all day )

Just FYI: The Global Icon award was awarded last year for the first time at the EMAs in Madrid. Winners were Bon Jovi, and they performed by themselves. They closed the show.
Of course, this is not possible with Queen - someone needs to do the vocal for them. But it's very possible their performance/tribute is going to close the show.
