I think y'all are absolutely right -- I have sensed a change in Adam's performances as well - all for the better! (As if they're possible to get much better! Ha) but I think there are four main reasons for these differences - the first probably coming from learning to use his new equipment to its full capabilities. Everything is so sophisticated these days, that I'm sure it's gonna take time! I've owned my IPhone for about 5 years and I'm sure that I'm only using about 15% of its capabilities. 😂 Next, the acoustics in that recording room, are totally fantastic & absolutely lends itself to the most gorgeous, rich sounds that Adam can produce. It's the perfect recording area. There's also the issue of Adam's age. Men's voices don't truly mature until about the age that Adam is now - and we're noticing all those beautiful, rich changes! Sooo beautiful!! Finally, he's getting used to singing to blank walls! He did mention how different and difficult that was, to not have an audience to give feedback. Whatever prompted these subtle changes, they are magnificent!!

It's disappointing, but understandable that the European Velvet tour had to be canceled. I think the UK has a 14 day quarantine period yet, and who knows what quarantines may be in place for travel to the countries in the EU. Not to mention getting back to the US. The US Velvet "tour" was likely tied to the Christina co-tour which was canceled due to Covid. That's the tour that will not be re-scheduled for the US. I wonder if there will be some one-off appearances in November and December?
International travel is so iffy now. My sister-in-law (American) has lived in Sweden since 1977. We know we won't be seeing each other this year. My son's significant other is a Canadian, studying for her doctorate in the US. They were supposed to go to Canada this summer so he could meet her family. I believe there's no "unnecessary" travel between Canada and the US until July 21 or so. I will still hope for Vegas.

Just read an interview with an expert on contageons and pandemics. He was asked about the HeWhoCannot amed rally this weekend and if it was risky. He pointedly avoided saying anything about that particular political rally, but was adamant that large groups gathered indoors with people shouting and singing and mingling close together for an extended period of time was a very high risk situation to be avoided. That pretty much nixes concerts until a vaccine is widely available, I think.
As for Adam's plans for next year, I have this sneaking suspicion it is something different from live concerts. I wonder if he is committed to appearing in a movie or play or musical or something. From what Shoshanna said and didn't say, I would not be surprised if it is a distinctly different direction for Adam. Exciting!

DancyGeorgia Thank you for the post about microphones. I was wondering about that and it was very useful info.

The related good news is that there is no major spike from the protest rallies so far. The conclusion seems to be that it was outside, most protesters are young and older people were mostly socially distant, and many wore masks. Based on this, some concert promoters are looking at the potential for smaller outdoor concerts. And, good news for me, our governor has relented and allows Arizona governors to require masks. Our mayor is mandating masks.
