re: Adam and the Oscar's: Could he just go to Madonna's party? Didn't Lisa Pitman tweet that she and Monte are going, maybe Adam is going too? That makes the most sense to me. I cannot imagine Adam sitting home alone on the biggest party night in LA. So either he will be somewhere or home with someone. And this party is at Madonna's manager's home. The one who tweeted Adam the other day. So, there probably won't be any pap pics. :( |

NoAngel - always love your Sunday essays, but this one is particularly Brilliant!
Q3 - love yours too, great observation and meaning of that single post.....
Cassie - your anaolgy of Adam/rocket is so right on the money - your posts are always golden

NoAngel and Q3, great editorials today! Any opportunity to see Adam perform live provides magical moments, but Fantasy Springs was extra special. I feel so lucky to have been there. It was the start of a year that saw me finally having the right amount of vacation-time left at year end.... NONE! And Q3, I loved your essay. These lines especially resonated with me. [From Q3] The exact same ideas that people initially dislike in an artist, are the things that make an artist significant.
Over time, with repetitive exposures, thinly-veiled attempts to differentiate by an artist become tiresome and the audience gets fatigued and moves on to the next pop sensation. But sometimes when an artist is uniquely talented that differentiation becomes what makes them "iconic".Adam is experiencing some of that pop sensation success now but how lucky are we to stan a man whose talent is so diverse and potential so great? There's every reason to believe that he will have endless artistic and entertainment opportunities to keep him, and us, satisfied for many years to come.  It's so great to see so many new faces lately. (The "old" ones are pretty great too.) New people on ATop... "welcome newbies" and literally new faces on Twitter and ATop today. It was amazing being on Twitter last night and watching in 3...2...1-style the "express yourself movement" that happened after Adam's Tweet. I like how someone said if Adam asked us to "jump"... would we? Oh wait, he did... and we did! :D Have a great day everyone! |

The Vevo video of Sleepwalker counter has been corrected. It is now at 9657 views. Is that all? Guess I'd better go look! Again! The YouTube/VEVO view counter uses a "secret" formula to count views. It it believed to have been changed a few time to keep people from manipulating it. One thing is clear, they do not appear to count sequential repeat views -- and have strategies so one user cannot add a ton on views by replaying. Robot plays do not seem to count either. It is also not unique views because you cannot get some of the Bieber and Gaga counts with just unique views. For example: Bieber "Baby" has 474,572,821 views. #1 on YT/VEVO Seems to be something like 1 view per IP address during a time interval. There are also some count levels where the counter stops --- usually around 100, 300, 1,000 and 10,000 --- looks like SW is at the 10,000 plateau now. So it will be stuck for a while. Finally, the counter is not in real time -- so it gets updated in batches -- a lot of views are counted and added at the same time. |

Darling, your vid is sooo sweet. Really well done. Welcome!! ETA: And LOL, the song lyrics. I had my volume down too low the first time to get the subtleties. Very funny. Happy Fantasy Springs anniversary and  to all my Adam BFFs that I met one year ago today (or yesterday). It has been so much fun going on this ride with you wonderful peeps!!! Love you all!! I won't be changing my Twitter avi because of the same reasons Emo cited. Got to try to keep my cray-stan identity a sekrit from the interwebs if possible. I may change my Adam avi here back to my original avi, but he's just too adorable in that .gif. |

Thank you for the great editorials today. I especially found Cassie's to be an excellent descriptor of Adam's career. You have such a great way with words.
I think it is so exciting to have so many new faces join this site. What it says to me that even though Adam is not on the radio and everywhere you look, interest in him is not waning. This is a good sign for his future.
I loved the message Adam gave last night on twitter about celebrating your own face. It is times like these when I am reminded again why I follow him so passionately. There are other singers I like but none that I admire the whole person.
