BTIKM is a real ear worm. Can't get it out of my head. And, I agree with others, that, altho that snippet sounds similar to the demo, the voice is much richer and more powerful on the chorus. Celebratory, almost. The only down side I hear.... as I understand it, to be a huge hit, it has to be a song that everyone can sing along to. With that kind of range, who is gonna be able to sing along to it? Have you tried? Well, maybe people will just drop it down an octave to make it sing-able. Actually, I just tried to sing along with it, Cassie...since my glorious voice..ahem ..doesn't have Adam's range, I dropped it an octave and it is already ingrained in my cranial bliss matter. I don't think singing this song is going to be a problem for anyone. Reminds me of people singing along with Adam during GN..lol..all in the ear of the beholder, I guess. So, problem solved. Just drop it down the octave and everyone can sing along. Cool. I listened to the demo, and it is pretty wimpy. The snippet of Adam's interpretation is much stronger, not just because he has a stronger voice, but because he is more able to therefore add more interpretation to the music. Plus, the instrumentals and the drums have more drive than the demo. When we hear the whole thing, I am sure the differences will be apparent. I listened to the demo to see what the range on that sucker is. Just one step short of two octaves on the demo. And, we know that Adam will probably embellish with additional notes. Most pop music has a range of only about one octave, give or take a note. I think this will make the song stand out that it has such a dynamic range. Crossing fingers for massive radio play.

www.vh1.com/music/tuner/2011-12-14/adam-lambert-better-than-i-know-myself/?xrs=share_twitterDecember 14th, 2011 | 6:45 pm Adam Lambert’s Holiday Gift To The Glamberts? A New Single!by Mark Graham Excert: YESSSSSS! We have barely been able to breathe for the last 12 hours or so, ever since Adam Lambert sent out this tweet earlier this morning: “Countdown begins…. 12 hrs until a big unveiling….” All day, we’ve been pacing around the office, staring at our watches every couple of minutes, constantly refreshing our Twitter feed, wondering what the one and only Glambert was going to offer up to us. Would it be a special holiday video message to his fans? News that he’s joining Queen on a full-time basis? A picture of him wearing nothing but a piece of mistletoe? Well, it ended up being none of those things, but we’re not complaining because guess what? A NEW SINGLE IS ON THE WAY! Adam just dropped the cover art for his new song, “Better Than I Know Myself,” on Twitter and announced that “it drops on December 20th! avail on all digital music providers. Happy Holidays!!” We haven’t heard Adam’s version of this track yet, but we’re huge fans of the demo of this song that Claude Kelly cut back in 2009. This song was written by Dr. Luke and Claude, both of whom has a history with Glambert; they co-wrote the title track off Adam’s 2009 debut, For Your Entertainment. (Most versions of “Better Than I Know Myself” have been scraped off the Internet, but if you search hard enough, you’ll be able to find it.) We’re going to do our best to stay calm until Adam’s release of “Better Than I Know Myself” in six days, but until then, check out his full cover art below!

I didn't like the demo, but I have listened to the snippet six times, and I am in love with it. I cannot wait for the real thing. I can sing that high note right along with him too. I am so excited for the 20th. He is his usual magnificent self. Just wait. Yowsa, Irish, ..remember to wave to those of us an octave under, K? ;D
