OMG I worry up there with the best of 'em, but come on, people, this guy DOES NOT KNOW for a fact that Radio 1 will not add BTIKM. He just expressed his disappointment that it didn't happen THIS WEEK. It can still happen, you know?
Even if it does not happen next week as a result of the press junket and his showcase and so on, Shoshanna basically says that it could still happen in the future, if enough people like the song and there's enough buzz about Adam going forward.
Sure, this is not encouraging to hear and it would have been AWESOME had Radio 1 added now, but it's totally crazy to fall into a spiral of doom when the game is not over yet, not by a long shot. His album is not even out!

Cool ;D But they should have checked there facts, they wrote that Freddie died off cancer :-/ I'm not that familiar with Freddie's exact cause of death. Could it have been an aids related cancer? Freddie died from AIDS-related pneumonia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freddie_Mercury

Aww! I think that is so special. I know if my Mom was still alive she would LOVE Adam! She could 'rock out' with the best of them in her day! ;D I love this, you guys. I wish my mom had lived to see Adam. She died in February 2009 ... crummy anniversary of her last illness right now. My mom was the sweetest, most ladylike, motherly person you can imagine. She never swore, she never drank, and she never raised hell unless you count getting on her soapbox once in a while to lambaste Richard Nixon. She also loved music. I don't think she ever forgot the freedom and escape she found from her self-consciousness and inhibitions in dancing in her sock feet to big band music in the school gym during lunch hours. Though she was married and had two kids by the time Elvis came along, she loved him and defended him. She was extremely tolerant of the musical tastes of her four daughters. I remember how she stood in line to buy tickets to Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue for my sister and her best friend, and how she went to the record store on the first day of release to buy Bowie’s “Heroes" so we wouldn't be tempted to miss school. Lots of stories like that. She seemed to know that a musician could be a kind of friend; a soul brother. I have this feeling she would have loved Adam and totally "got" him. Sugaree, that is so great that you connected with your mom over Adam! And you know ... I never thought about it at the time, but she also personally loved Johnny Ray and Johnny Mathis, and Liberace ... and Richard Chamberlain was her favorite actor. I guess the apple didn't fall very far from the tree. You always touch my heart.. your mother sounded like a wonderful woman. I love the way you write.

Fly-bye post - sorry - don't have time for more:
Re: radio 1 and BTIKM and Leighton B's comment: My hope is actually that his comment that they normally don't add mid project is exactly what will not hold up in Adam's case.
I can understand that radio 1 does not play BTIKM. The single is wrong for the UK market in general and it is even more wrong for radio1. Remember when we all of a sudden got those really weird single release dates for the UK back in November a week after those first round of UK listening parties. Everybody was saying that first single was going to be released soonish, then Adam announced that BTIKM was going first and there was a big pause. Eventually all countries announced single release dates in the Dec/Jan timeframe, but UK gave us this weird date of 3/12/12 if I am not mistaken, but certainly somewhere in mid-March.
Radio 1 is bureaucratic and rigid and works with strange rules and principles. I think the only announcement of this late mid-March date was to officially set the start date for Trespassing phase that late. Because Adam will roll out a second single world-side together with the album promotion and for the UK this will just be the de-facto first single.
Soshhanna is trying to ride the post EMA /Queen news cycle and therefore acknowledges the BTIKM ww single to some degree, but I think she is betting on the rest of the material and is expecting radio1 to come on board with that.
Leighton may be right in general about BBC coming along right away or not at all, but I think in this case, this may be an exception. What else is new, Adam is always an exception and officially they are going to declare the beginning of phase 2 in March for the UK.
I am not giving up hope yet, and won't do so next week either. If BBC though does not add the second and more dancey/rhythmic single, then yes, then he would have lost BBC again.
Btw: I think BTIKM could music wise very much fit on Radio 2, but given that it is not a hit anywhere, not even here in the US, and certainly not in the UK, they are not going to do that. BTIKM is right now being held up by the video, which has made huge indents outside of the traditional fanbase already. It is doing its job of reaching new audiences, world wide.
Yes, I also shake my head when others have such a seemingly easy time like LDR to run up the charts based on nothing, but it also looks like she may be a one hit wonder. And that is the last thing I would wish for Adam.
So, slow and steady it is.

Pneumonia is very often the immediate cause of death, no matter what the underlying illness.

Aww! I think that is so special. I know if my Mom was still alive she would LOVE Adam! She could 'rock out' with the best of them in her day! ;D My mom would have loved Adam, too - in total - the voice, the showmanship and yep - the sexiness, too. She was a charming, sweet lady and oh so much fun. We had a blast together! I posted this a while back. Mom and I were having a conversation and I said something like "I never focused on a man's bulge before becoming a fan of Adam when other people started pointing it out." She said "That's one of the first things I look at." I came here and asked for the best picture of the glambulge to send her." Let's just say that she was impressed. She's 74.
