Haha! You never know. The album may do really well. Stranger things have happened. True. Also Adam said in one of the interviews today, that 98% of the Glamberts are happy with his new music… That’s definitely not my impression. So either Adam didn’t want to acknowledge the criticism from within the fandom or he really has a different view of things. We will see, what the future holds. A good thing is, that he‘s booked until 2026, so there’s not that much time for unplanned writing and recording sessions. I think Adam has mostly heard from fans who cheer on anything he or his crew put out there. And when anyone voices their displeasure for the direction of his music on his socials, he and sometimes Oliver, will shut them down. Don't listen if you dislike it. Gay liberation. Not holding back anymore. My friends like to party. I'm going to be even gayer. HA. And lots of the fans who are just not interested in this kind of music (I include myself) would never post anything on his socials to show disappointment. Many just won't purchase it. Yes there are people out there who will never support the LGBT community or him. And that won't change with this music regardless of the anger and defiance. But his fans have always been in his corner. He built up a lot of goodwill and support. To most of us, being gay was not something he had to perform for us, it was part of who he was. And it makes me sad that he does not seem to care or want that support anymore (I hope that is not the case). It is hard to feel anything from this music, if you are outside his circle of friends or partying in gay clubs, lol. It is a puzzle that a star with worldwide fame and success would suddenly decide that being a "niche" artist and writing with your friends is really "showing them." I think it sends the opposite message because that is where most gay male artists remain to this day. Niche artists are not "killing it". Stay in your lane and don't even think you can do anything else, regardless to how talented you are. Just don't see that as progress or advancing the case for LGBT artists.

Well, one EP does not a niche artist make IMO. We'll have to see what his next offering is. I also personally don't feel like he's discarding his fans or not wanting their support anymore. He's just doing an EP of music that maybe not 100% of the fandom likes or enjoys. I'm sure that the previous albums weren't to the enjoyment of 100% of the fandom either. I remember a lot of fans complaining when his very first album came out because they were sure he was going to be doing rock music, never mind that cover lol. So I'm kind of in the wait-and-see car and just enjoying the rest of whatever he's doing.
Happy to hear he's booked into 2026...that has to be a good sign. Maybe he could drop a few hints as to what he's up to? Inquiring minds want to know lol.

I think Adam is delusional to think that 98% of his fans love the new music. From the vibe that I am getting here as well as on other social media circles, I assume that most folks just don’t say anything publicly or “in his face” if they have nothing nice to say. However, Adam likely picked up some new fans. We’ll see how much the fun spreads that started with Adam enjoying music sessions with his friends.
Truth be told, I kinda like most of the songs musically, however the OTT visuals as well as the un-relatable lyrics are a turn off for me.

Also I was happy to hear in that new long podcast this week that Adam considers this as his „sexy project“, like Prince and Madonna and many other artists had theirs as well. It sounded to me, as if this is really going to be this one-time project and that he will develop further or go back to other music after that. Also I‘m with you, that not 100% were enjoying his previous albums, that’s never the case of any artist. But this time my personal estimation would be that much less than 50% of the Glamberts are happy with this new music. The ratio seems to go from Facebook (including his official site there) with all in all maybe 10% of happy comments to Adam‘s personal Instagram with more than 95%. Although the comments there are much less. As mentioned above, most fans, including me, won‘t post their opinion there, especially not after Adam and also some vocal Glamberts did silence the ones, who dared to post their criticism on the first singles. Adam and his team will see the truth in the numbers. We can only guess, how good or bad this EP will perform. Although it’s not for me, I still wish Adam luck.

But I agree that most fans just don’t say anything publicly.

I'm not on social media, but I also wouldn't be the person to bash somebody on social media...I don't see the purpose of that. If I don't like something a singer puts out, I just don't buy it. If they keep putting out music I don't like, I'll just find somebody more interesting. I did that with a singer I was following a few years ago...loved their first 2 albums, played them all the time. They then decided EDM music was where their heart was at, so that was that. They're still around, still busy, but I just don't follow them anymore.
I'm sure Adam and his people will track how well the EP sells or doesn't sell. And he'll adjust or he'll decide he doesn't care, but I have a hard time picturing that. He's a businessman after all.

Some who say they are gay seem to not be on board with it being all about sex acts. Others are saying no radio play, no awards or tv performances and very niche with this. I think there is a lot of disappointment from those who think he is wasting his talent. And people are not sure if this is a new direction or just a one-off. And as much as some say it is a one-off, until Adam says that, I don't know that anyone knows. He seems very pleased and excited with this drastic change of direction. But we shall see. And hope for the best. HA. And as much as I don't like this music, I'm still hopeful that the community he is trying to reach will support him.
