LOL I'm reminded of the USA Today interview when they asked about the bunks on the tour bus and Adam pipes up with "I like the top" and Kris sniggers and they look at each other and crack up laughing.

It seems there are many on this site that are disappointed in Adam's new EP and feel that he is disregarding his fans siimply because he has chosen to make a record that targets a different audience. I don't understand. I in no way feel disregaded as a fan. He hasn't given up on his present audience, he is trying to expand to those he feels are in his community. I am hoping he makes the connection and we can all be fans together.

Is it just this EP for his community or is it something else and a longer term direction? Before he was so in awe of 23 year old LNX, who was riding high before but not so much right now. I found him boorish from the beginning but that was just me. HA. And now it is Chappel Roan. Yes she is queer, sexual and having a lot of success. But she is about 25 and doing great but she is a female and one of the pop ladies with a major label push. IMO, Adam will outlast them all and has achieved more and enjoys better opportunities, even if in a different way. Adam should have received better treatment early in his career but for whatever reason he didn't. But you can't go back in time with great success and do what these twenty something newcomers (with major label support) are doing in pop. But he has major talent and a hell of a lot to offer. I hope you guys are right and he will move on after this EP. Fans are absolutely craving some good music from him and more than ready to support him.

For what it's worth, I just ordered a download of the EP from Amazon. I have always followed all kinds of music. In college years - yeah, that's the 70s - I bought and listened to British folk-rock like Fairport Convention, Strawbs, American symphonic rock like Renaissance, and electronic music by Eno. (I was also following Emerson Lake & Palmer, Donovan, Jethro Tull, and anything played on WNEW-FM radio hosted by Allison Steele, the Night Bird from 10 pm to 2 am - well, probably didn't make it past midnight on school nights.) All the comments on CVNty - yeah, I get that CVnt is a curse word, usually directed at females. But, you know, first thing this morning, when checking on traffic for my commute to work, a fb website comment used the term of C$$t to describe left lane parkers who don't move over. I also work in a law firm. Disagreeable words get hurled at me all the time. Words do not hurt me.

I'm not sure if I like any of this music yet, have to listen to the entire EP instead of just the snippets first. But I am sad that so many glamberts (here anyway) seem to be upset he did this instead of whatever type of music they would prefer. We've been lamenting for years that he didn't have many fans in the LGBTQ+ community, and so many of his fans are older ladies. I don't think he needs to make "old music" just because he's over 40, and I don't think he expects this to have the popularity of a Lil Nas X tune, or even any radio play, because he doesn't have a label to push it anyway. He seems thrilled to not be pushed in any direction by anyone for this one. He looks sexy now, probably feels sexy and wanted to express that in the music. He loves to go to gay bars and enjoys that type of music, so happy for him that he made something like this for himself. I don't think it puts him in any kind of box. He's versatile and I think he'll keep doing different things. He has enough variety in his musical career that there should be something for all the fans! Everyone who was always whining about him doing rock music got years of him touring with Queen, and even some rock covers in High Drama. I can't wait to see what he does next, whether I love the project or not!
