About the musical Cabaret: I don’t think the release of that EP has any connection to that. They’re just 2 very different projects, that happen to follow each other.
I usually LOVE musicals. But Cabaret is SO old and oldschool, that Adam‘s part in this particular one doesn’t get me exited. I prefer modern musicals, especially those with a rock edge, like Dance of the Vampires (the original Version, the Broadway adaptation was awful!) with the compositions by Jim Steinman (the musical includes for instance famous melodies from Bonnie Tyler and Meat Loaf). The story of Cabaret fits Adam well though, so I can see, why he’s doing it.

Cabaret is considered a classic in Broadway musicals. I saw the original on Broadway with Joel Gray as the emcee. It is imo very timely for our fraught political times right now. Cabaret may be an old musical but this particular production is not. They completely redesigned the theater into a live Kit Kat club with tables arranged around the stage and the cast interacts with the audience. This is a wonderful part for Adam and with his expertise in singing the Queen’s catalog he’ll have no problem doing the show 7 or 8 times a week. I can’t wait to see him!

I also hear the part of the MC is very subjective and the actor has some say/play. I, too, love the "rock" shows like Tommy but I can't wait for this one.

My reactions this morning:
Love that line-dancing to Trespassing! Perfect song for it!
Adam did say that his next music, post-Afters, will be something new. Doesn't sound like he'll be repeating himself. Hope whatever he comes up with will blow us away. It likely won't be for quite a while, but we will be ready when it happens. We have survived "Afters" pretty much unscathed. Time to move on.
Good to know that the current Cabaret show has been updated and revamped. I've seen it a number of times on stage in its more traditional version. But this new one sounds perfect for Adam, fresh and current. I know he will be great. Hope it leads to more acting opportunities.

IT's years ago But didnt Adam say that Madonna also reinvented herself over and over again? I seem to remember that He Said the Public wasnt Always supportive of that
