Adam is starting to look emaciated! Happy he got healthy but worried it's going too far. I hope he can just maintain. He doesn't need to get any thinner.

Agree that Adam is starting to look emaciated….on the verge of frighteningly skinny. My husband is Adam ‘s height and weighs between 175-180 pounds and looks thin. However, he was a navy pilot, and when he got back from one of his several month deployments, he was 163 pounds and said he was a bit heavier than he needed to be. He looked so gaunt and emaciated that my friends and I were distraught. He had developed Body Dismorphic (sp) Disorder. It took us months of cajoling to get him back to his former size, and he has had some relapses. Sometimes, he attempts to pull out non-existent stomach fat. This—and for that matter, all—eating disorders is a pernicious thing and is one of the least successfully treated disorders among them all. With Adam getting so much continued praise anytime his photos show more weight loss, it must be especially difficult to think and implement a “that’s enough” perspective.

I’m posting the link below because I didn’t know if it was okay to post a non-Adam video here. However, I know we have some Aerosmith fans, and the video is by Justin Harkness, Frontman for “The Darkness”, whose drummer is Rufus Tiger Taylor, Roger’s son. Rufus was QAL’s drummer before he went to Darkness. It is well worth a listen if you are a fan of either band. In case the link doesn’t work, the video is titled “Justin Harkness Rides Again: This is Not the End”. He shares his thoughts about Aerosmith, and one reminiscence in particular, stuck with him. When Justin was having substance abuse he met Steven Tyler, who offered them encouragement and gave Justin his private cell phone number for him if he wanted advice or just to talk. Brian made a very nice comment about his feelings about Aerosmith. The two bands started performing at close to the same time. Of course, Adam is Queen’s not so secret weapon, and what a time QAL has had, even if they never perform again. youtu.be/g9yGiLQdGY4?si=17hxNJ1aI-_k1ARUThe comment section is overall a positive one the last time I looked. However, comments such as the following will resonate , and resonate and resonate some more, especially those fans who have followed the QAL journey: “Big respect for Aerosmith going out as a unit and not looking to replace Tyler. He’s a huge part of the group, and if they ever tried to work a singer in [it] would be sacrilege.” Then, I realized that I wholeheartedly agree with this comment and that I would never have listened to them with another frontman because he could never be replaced. Gasp 😱! Does that mean I’m like those Freddie only fans? Is this what it feels like when the shoe is on the other foot? I thought about it for a few minutes and realized that wasn’t the case in the most important manner. I wouldn’t get on a comment section and hound the new frontman like so many people have done to Adam for over a decade. Though the sheer number of nasty posts has lessened, they surprisingly still occur. What a strong person Adam is to have put up with such since 2012!!! I apologize if I want supposed to post the link. I didn’t dare bring over the video because I’m not sure I can post anything without Adam in it, though there are connections. I know we don’t post anything with a political or religious agenda, but I thought this might be okay????

Since when can't we post videos without Adam in them? Is that a new rule, or has it always been there?
If it has, I wasn't aware of it...although I don't really post a lot of videos.
ETA: Not a fan of Aerosmith or Tyler (he just screams a lot lol), but I'm sorry that he has to retire for health reasons.

I know that Steven Tyler’s voice is definitely polarizing! That’s why I have my only other fandom with them. No need to debate/decide in a broad sense about The “Demon of Screaming” style 😄

Really nice of Stephen Tyler to take an interest in Justin Hawkins and even give him his number to talk about substance abuse. You must have really enjoyed American Idol when Tyler was a judge.
