Hubby and I are going to the matinee show on 9/28. Have been preparing by watching some youtube clips of Eddie Redmayne and Alan Cummings in the role. I'd only seen the Bob Fosse directed movie with Joel Grey and Liza Minelli back in 1972. That was when a couple of us Catholic HS students on a Forensic League competition in Pittsburgh made a break for a night off and went to the movies. I think Adam will do fine, but he does have shoes to fill for Alan Cummings' version. Glad you’re going to see Adam. 👍🏻 I think we are, too. At least he’s had over a decade of experience with the “big shoes to fill” issue. I think his reply is that he brings his own shoes with him! 😅😄 youtube.com/shorts/FuVqK0LTfcg?si=1KxKfDT1NxEQuRrM

I'm going to the 2:00 show on October 19th. My husband got us tickets for my birthday, (Oct. 16th). I've seen the move a few times over the decades. I'm only going for Adam. I would only go to the city for him, since I've never been a big fan of NY City. It's like a stress inducing insane asylum on steroids..LOL.

donnamb and gail I hope you give us a bit of a recap. I expect there won't be much video of this show as I'm sure cameras are probably banned. I think it might be a quiet time on Atop! I loved the movie ... and that's all I have seen. I got a laugh from the story of the Catholic girls sneaking off to see it! We travelled to New York in November 2007 when the Broadway strike was happening so didn't get to many shows. It's the one time we've been to New York and we loved it! Everything seemed so familiar because so much of it is famous and we found the people very friendly and helpful.
