Re the above -- this production of Cabaret was a smash in London. It won a ton of Olivier awards -- actor for Eddie, actress (Jesse Buckley was Sally), supporting actor and actress, best musical revival, director of musical. It was really well reviewed, and just a big big hit. But it was not so warmly received on Broadway. The reviews were mixed. It got a bunch of tony noms but wasn't expected to win any of them (and didn't win any save for scenic design). It may have done better but for the revival of Merrily We Roll Along, which was just a monster smash with some beloved actors and a good back story. I also think that the prior, truly excellent, revivals of Cabaret were still fresh in people's minds, and many didn't like the director, Eddie and Gayles take on the show and the characters. The show has sold fairly strongly up to now based on Eddie's star power (people really wanted to see him). It is just hard to know how long Adam and Auli'i can keep ticket sales at a level that it makes sense to keep the show running. Hopefully at least through the ends of their runs in March. But on Broadway, you never know. So I would try to get tix before year end to be on the safe side. This has nothing whatsoever to do with Adam -- it is just this production has not garnered the same love and interest it did on the other side of the pond, or that prior Broadway revivals did. This. Just to give you an idea of the cost it takes 1.2 million a week to cover its operating costs. This is what I just saw in a Broadway forum about the gross of Cabaret (it’s from the week that endet on September 8th): Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club - $1.5 million gross, 96% capacity, $184 atp (Up ~$48k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $1.267 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $974k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): 170k; Reserves Remaining: $2.2 million Award Wins: Drama Desk (2), Tonys (1) As we head into Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankins final performances in Cabaret, their grosses will likely moderately increase. I'm curious how high the grosses will get with Adam Lambert and Auli'i Cravalho. There's no telling how far they'll go . www.reddit.com/r/Broadway/comments/1fdopyi/broadway_week_grosses_analysis_week_ending/

Eddie is a much bigger star than Adam which probably helped sales. Hopefully between Adam’s loyal fan base, great word of mouth and some serious PR he can keep those numbers up there.

Yes, I saw someone noticing, that the overall prices for Cabaret with Adam are lower now (so far) than they’ve ever been with Eddie. Also, I found the gross from last week, the final week of Eddie and Gayle (and therefore the numbers were really high and can’t be expected for this new week and cast, js): Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club - $1.6 million gross, 99% capacity, $197 atp (Up ~$165k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $1.267 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $974k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): 170k; Reserves Remaining: $2.2 million Award Wins: Drama Desk (2), Tonys (1) This was the final week of Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin as Emcee and Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and they went out on a high, posting their highest grosses since June. Adam Lambert and Auli'i Cravalho began performances last night, and it will be interesting to see how well the grosses perform with them as the leading pair. www.reddit.com/r/Broadway/comments/1fj7tnm/broadway_week_grosses_analysis_week_ending/

Help! I lost the post with dates Adam will be there in NYC and I for sure want to get tickets when he’s there. I’m looking at the last 2 weeks in October. Thank you!

Call the box office or if you use SeatGeek they’ll have the dates listed.
