OMG!!!! I miss you guys so much like crazy!!! I couldn't function on dayle bases.I tryed stay awy from Adam,Adamtopia etc... but is not easy at all.Whatever I do may mind working overtime wondering about Adamtopia and our boy.Drives me crazy!!The day when I freak out has something to do with susie post.I was follow her because I like what she write so I go along with that. Then I sow respond or comment (I don't remember now) with angry smileys that was the moment I freak out.Oh shit !I mess up something. Fuck !if I do I don't know English that much to defense myself.I post maybe 2more posts and I was done. I was so confused and embarrassed,that was my thoughts .I make full of myself way I butti in.What I'm doing I most stop this nonsense.If I'm weird and sound desperate is true.I'm very desperate to have somebody to be free to talk about Adam. To enjoy he's voice,music.He's the most fascinating ,exciting artist,entertainer, performer,incredible,unique human been.I have no one and don't know no one who like Adam and is sad! I have 2sons the not Adam fans other and I know they get annoyed if I try talking about him,so I try not to.Is nearly 2 years and boys know Adam is really impotent to me and he's part of my family.Adam is "babe brother" to them.Adam is my medicine for everything and boys see that.They not criticize or comment about Adam or my behavior. I'm sure deep down they are glad Adam came to my life just at the right time.This days I take one day at the time ,not worry me tomorrow.I'm glad get up each morning breathe,have my 3 boys (now I have 3)in my heart.They my air,energy,they may golden engine to keep me going day after day they my life.My boys give me computer ,the show me how to use just the basic and show me how to look for Adam any info.The new I bee happy and excited and live them alone. Few weeks ago wen I start wrote with Adamtopia my son say to me I gonna only embarrasses myself but he say in good way.Now I stop writing he ask me what is mater nothing I say maybe one day I start again.The other day my son walk in to my room and sow all my notes, words and the sentence which some of them he help me (he never say no to me when ask for English words or how to write the sentence. Wow mum this is hard job you do.He read few of them look at me and say:you relay serious about those Adamtopia people.Oh yes! I answer. The amazing bunch of people.They so smart, very friendly.They welcome every one new with such excitement.They celebrate each other birthday they're truly awesome people.They love Adam with huge respect like I do.They know everything about him.They're the best detectives, ninjas you can ask for if cams to know and be close to Adam as possible.I have not enough word to describe and how I admire all off them.Love them to bits!!! Good he say what ever make you happy mum and left the room.You guys have no idea how hard is to keep all feelings ,emotions, excited etc...and have no 0ne to share.It is painful. OMG!!!I see your reaction to my last post I got tears in my eyes.OMG everything is alright .I'm so stupid, I confused you and live you just like that .It fuck! is not normal(well I never was normal). Pleas forgive me.You all mean world to me.I learn so much from you guys.You all the most amazing people I ever meet in my life.All I want is wrap my arms around you and hold close to my heart because is the place where you all belong in my heart. Tell me what I'm feeling when Jimmy Page or Brian May or Jimmy Hendrix or B B King or Santana or Gary Moore, to name just a few, because Oh lord I looooove guitar solos, and the feeling I have is like their guitar is talking to me, crying, laughing, being angry. Sorry you know shit about music. Great musicians can make instruments talk. I first heard one talk listening to Miles Davis play his horn. I suddenly knew what I should have been listening for when listening to great musicians. They sure can make their instruments speak!!!! |

I think it would upset me a bit if The Rolling Stones replaced Mick Jagger and still called themselves the Rolling Stones. Jagger as a singer for the Stones IS irreplacable. I can identify a bit with hard core queen fans when they view the whole adam thing as a type of sacrilege. That being said though it is a shame to let great music by original band members go unplayed and unheard, especially if the musicians want to continue to play and fans want to hear. and i believe there would be quite a few beatles fans excited to see paul and ringo play together and recreate the music even if that olly murs was singing, (or was that another underhanded slam) don't know much about mr murs. BUT! Queen is not calling themselves just Queen. It is Queen with Adam Lambert. I can understand the way the diehard fans feel though. Queen was not Freddie, it was a band, they all wrote and performed the music. I remeber seeing one interview of Freddie close to his death, where he told, he tried to produce as much material as possible for Queen to use after his death. My understanding has neve been, that Freddie thought or hoped Queen to die, when he did. And I am pretty sure that complaining Queen fans would find other reason to be upset, if remainig members would perform without using Queen's name. I am die-hard Queen fan since 70's, and NOTHING can make ME more happy, than to see Queens music, including Freddies legacy continue to live. The fact it is happening with Adam is just addtional jack-pot bonus. |

Yes, I totally see where the hard-core Queen fans are coming from. No matter how well Adam does at Sonisphere, they will still not be happy. It is what it is. For a certain segment of the Queen fandom, Queen isn't Queen without Freddie (and John Deacon to a slightly lesser degree). That being said, I've been lurking on the Queen forum, and there has been an interesting progression through the stages of grief about the whole thing. After some days of shock and horror and rage, many fans have settled down a bit and are accepting the inevitable evil, lol. They are starting to speculate about the possibility of more shows, a world tour even. And they are speculating about possible setlists and posting what songs they think will best go over at Sonisphere (they acknowledge that this will not be a crowd of Queen fans) and what songs they'd most like to see. Whether any of the hard-core diehard purists will change their minds about Adam is yet to be seen. Possibly not. Maybe some will come to a place of grudging acknowledgment of Adam's talent, while at the same time sticking to their POV that Queen is still not Queen without Freddie. But I think there are plenty of more open-minded Queen fans who are excited about this collaboration and are looking forward to hearing the music again. Remember that the online fanbase of any artist is only the most extreme and dedicated tip (lol) of the iceberg. And these are people who have been stanning a band for DECADES. I agree with Cassie's sentiment that the NME article is so absurdly ridiculous that imo it is done on purpose: mock critical journalism in an ass-backwards kind-of-way. The author actually references THE infamous NME article from 1977. "Is this guy a prat?", which ridiculed Freddie and Queen and predicted their demise. I decided just for laughs to look that article up. Could not find an original scan but here is the text retained on the Queenonline website: www.queenonline.com/en/the-band/interviews/freddie-mercury/is-this-man-a-prat-/Interesting read in more ways than one. Definitely recommend it. As we all know how Queen's success turned out, how right Freddie was with everything he said during that confrontational interview and how wrong every prediction by the NME reporter turned out to be, quoting this article imo means that the author wants to say: By any logical reason, putting an American Idol kid at the front of the legendary band Queen at Knebworth in 2012 is totally nuts, but Queen has beaten the odds of "being nuts" before. This article is this journalist's personal version of an "Is this guy a prat?" article, imo. It will generate debate and hopefully make people interested in checking this out for themselves. -------------------------------- Re: the German video: The translation on the adamnews.de page is in essence what was said content-wise, but the person introducing the video was so brilliantly snarky, it was really funny. Not sure how it would translate, but I really laughed out loud. Right now, I got to run and cannot do a video translation, but if nobody else got to it beforehand, I will try to do one tonight. Just can't do it until then. Blame RL. Gotta go...  would like to stay and play, but can't. ---------------------------------- ETA: Does anyone understand why right now we cannot vote for BTIKM on VH1. I am glad that it made top 20 this week, but would it not stay available for voting for next week? Anyone knows how this works? ??? Thanks |
