Xstrology™ @xstrology #Aquarius think waiting for help is a waste of time. They do the shit themselves.

I feel like a very bad Portlander in that I haven't watched Portlandia yet (on the the other hand I do grow Organic Kale and have trendy socks made out of Bamboo, and spend most of my time making environmentally themed art, so...). Yes, and when I wear my Adam t-shirt under my clay-splashed hoodie in the studio, some probably think I'm being ironic....little do they know. ETA: thanks everybody! I will attempt to be a good recapper. rabbitrabbit - I don't think you're really missing anything w/Portlandia. I've only seen a few eps and while some bits are very funny - overall it can be heavy handed and kind of mean to its characters (instead of affectionately poking them). Looking forward to your post-Adam reportage. Powers That Be - Question: I've noticed that over last couple of days there have been donations to Charity Water that include March Matchness notations. Is someone going to match these? Or has already? (I'd say I've lost track but I never really had track) And is it correct that those of us who were further down spreadsheet as 'matchers' should stand pat with our donations until next big push? Just wondering. First of all, Rabbitrabbit, I'm so thrilled for you, that you're going! I feel like a spinning-Finn: Yayayayayay! ENJOY THE HECK OUT OF YOURSELF, m'kay!! Secondly, I'm am very very far from being a Power That Be (Power That Is?), so this is really more of a continuation of your question, Mika, than an answer, but I saw that Mys*&@^#r asked something similar today, too (I just skimmed the thread, so sorry if someone more authoritative has already answered) and I just wanted to say that by my (questionable) calculations, we have banked (that is, already donated) more than enough matches to cover these last lingering donations. Maybe Rabbitrabbit can confirm that--I know she was keeping track for a while, or surely Q3 can...but if that's the case, I think it would be okay to wait for our next big donation drive, perhaps on March 20th (aka NO TRESPASSING...yeah, MY ASS-DAY)...what do the rest of you think? FINALLY: LYNNE, you're a darling, and we're very very lucky to have you. Take it easy, and all the very best wishes for your loved ones in a difficult time. Oh--sorry--this is actually the real FINALLY: NOANGEL, I am so damn jelly of that beautiful print!!!! Looks superb!

This is kind of strange: When I left this morning, I could not vote on VH1, asked here whether anyone had any idea what that was about (BTIKM is not listed as a video to be voted on). I got no answer at all? Is that because - you can all vote and don't have that problem I am having? - I am missing something and nobody else besides me is trying to vote? - any other reason???? :-[ Seems to be no interest in that German translation either. And that article from 1977 that I posted clearly did not interest anyone, so I think I'll just go find myself something else to do for tonight. Will not disturb this crowd any further. Remembers to close door on the way out.

ETA: the frame keeps moving though and I don't know if it is random or by number of votes they get. I voted this morning and also in the afternoon :D www.vh1.com/shows/series/top_20_countdown/vote.jhtml?xrs=rally

Even if Mick had been dead for 20 years ??? : : : : (I see this has been answered already).. luzrnaz, I thought your comparison was an interesting and valid one. And it did give me pause to think, for sure. My reaction was the same as yours – I couldn't imagine Rolling Stones without Mick. However, as many pointed out, particularly Bridgey, it's a difficult comparison to make in that we know Mick is still alive and even if one of the principles passed away tomorrow (god forbid) it wouldn't ever be quite the same because I am pretty sure the others won't continue on another 20 years ( just a guess ) But I TOTALLY got your original point and it was a good one. I guess every situation needs to be assessed for individual circumstance, and the artists involved are going to do what THEY feel is best for them, their art, their creative hunger and their commitment to their legacy. I love that Brian and Roger are so passionate about their music today as they were 40 years ago. THAT'S HUGE!! And it deserves to be played. And they deserve to play it, if it feeds their creative souls. It must be an incredible feeling to be able to revisit work you created at such a magical time in your life and bring your current life experience to it – it's almost like a wormhole back in time so few of us will ever experience. But it's not just going back; it's going forward. And fortunately Brian and his astrophysicist self GETS it. And I say more power to all of them. It's creative. It's courageous. It's a look back and a leap forward and I'm so excited that I'll be there. (And I KNOW Adam is going to KILL it ;D ;D) WELCOME, SAPARO!! For me, the 20 years dead as opposed to alive makes ALL the difference, otherwise I totally understand the comparison (and would probably feel the same way if Robert Plant was replaced in Zeppelin)
