Congrats!! I hope you have fun, and thanks for the infos on the other stations. He has two radio stations to visit the next day in Hartford, CT, so he probably won't go back to LA yet. Awesome - maybe he'll hang out and party with us after the show at the Hamilton. Or we can take him on a tour of the monuments at night, or maybe back to my place to just hang out, drink some wine and chat about all that's happened over the past 2 years. Me & Adam - bffs. OK - someone wake me up now.... LOL, we can dream. |

Thank you for the recap. You and your sister are so lucky to be there. He's so gorgeous, relax and very funny. I love when he pretended craying coz he missed his kale juice.. lol.. btw.. I love Kale.. and since i'm still too lazy to juice it.. I sautee it.. delicious.

Okay, in between whacking and drumming my fingers on the desk I've been trying to come up with the right metaphor for what this Qmix thing is like...
You know how you decide that you're going to get healthy and go on a diet and you spend an entire month exercising your brains out and eating nothing that tastes good and then you get on the scale and discover you've managed to gain 4 pounds?
It's like that.
Then you proceed to go mental and eat the entire contents of a local convenience store, step on the scale the next morning and discover you've lost 7 pounds?
It's like that, too.
In short, input seems to have zero effect on output plus it's crazy-making.
Clicking, whacking, clicking, whacking...

I know they're probably better for you but.. I've been thinking about if I should buy any or not.. |

So excited that I won a pass to see Adam at the Hamilton on Monday, courtesy of 94.7 Fresh FM in DC!!! I have been to many concerts - Gridlock, Fantasy Springs, several GNT shows - but never a meet and greet. Never been within 30 ft of Adam, except once in Denver when I waited at the buses and saw him about 10 ft away. This will be a new experience for me and in a great, relaxed venue. The Hamilton is a brand new music venue in the downstairs of a restaurant in downtown DC. It is beautifully finished and has tables and bar stools in a tiered configuration with the stage at the bottom. It is too bad that he will only be doing 2 songs, but maybe we can squeeze one more out of him. I am hoping for a really fun and relaxed interview too because the host will most likely be Tommy McFly, who has interviewed him before at the 9:30 club before a GNT show. Tommy is a fan, and a young, really cool guy - much like Blake in Houston today. And to top it all off, the event is at 6:30 pm, so I don't even have to make up an imaginary Dr. appt or some other reason to miss work!! There will be two other radio promo's that day - noonish for Mix107.3 at the Gibson Guitar Center, and some other time of the day for Hot99.5 (Toby Knapp, Kane, etc) at the Sierra Mist Natural Lounge - wherever that is - undisclosed time. I am hoping the Fresh94.7 event is the last of the day and he doesn't have to run off somewhere. Although it is feasible that he could go to the airport for a late flight back to LA - there are some leaving as late as 10:00 Anyway - this will be an adventure and so sweet to see him up close and personal. Hopefully lots of other ATOP'ers from the DC area got passes as well!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! |
