Barbara @barbls23 @brianlondon Are you the new musical director for Adam? You have some resume!! Brian London @brianlondon @barbls23 I am. What happened to Kevin? Maybe Adam didn't like how he couldn't keep his mouth shut with that intern... ??? IF it is true, and not just a temporary position for a couple of key performances I think it's much more likely that it had to do with getting the tightest live sound for the band. The intern thing seemed very much no big deal to me -- and it wasn't Kevin who spilled. Who knows though.

Hmmm, I thought that Tommy had greatly improved over this last month.
If I compare Snowcase (Austria), where imo Tommy was not at all at performance level with the rest to the more recent performances he had with Adam, then I see a marked improvement, especially rhythmically. And he feels more secure I think, and I enjoy his playing now. What he is still weak on is more differentiation in style. So, while I don't see him as a top guitarist, I do see him improving as he becomes more secure in playing these tracks.
While I LOVE Kevin on the keys, he never convinced me on the guitar, sorry. So, not exactly sharing your sentiments here, I found most performances in March with Tommy very enjoyable and some were really good.
Overall, I am still hoping for Cuckoo. Just because the musical director is a Bruno Mars guy, does not mean that it must be NCOE and NCOE only.
I also vaguely recall that there were two new tracks talked about as the reason for the album delay, so there should be one track we do not yet know about. probably the one recorded in Chicago. Whether that is relevant for NNN this week, I of course do not know.
I love the BM song, but I would love Cuckoo even more.
I WANT CUCKOO PLAYING AT EVERY PROM AND PARTY AROUND THE COUNTRY in May/June!!!
And that same sentence just does not sound quite so right with NCOE in there....and I want an Adam written song too and a great fun video and then NCOE as the third single for the late summer/fall or even TRESPASSING, if Cuckoo really takes off, as we all think it will. Yup, entitled fan I am.
So many things I want...but of course I will support whatever decision they end up making. Keeping fingers crossed and pleading with the God of music release strategy.
ETA: Caught up with the news of the last two pages after writing this - now even more hopeful it is Cuckoo or Cuckoo+others for the NNN Awards.

I would say, at this point, we still don't know what the next single is going to be! We do know that Adam has a new musical director, though...and that he has an impressive resume!

Though I can't even guess what happened. I hope this doesn't cause any further delays or problems. Is this a drawback or a good thing? Maybe someone should post a link with Brian London's credentials.

Bruno Mars became Bruno Mars by putting his own music out there. Same with Adele. Adam's music is just as good as theirs, and as a singer and performer he's better than the both of them put together. There's only a limited number of singles Adam can release off of this album, the first one wasn't his, and if now the second one is still isn't his, well, I'll be pissed. If CK's and BM's songs were decidedly better than Adam's, I'd say nothing, but they aren't! Bruno Mars was a songwriter/arranger/producer long before he put his first solo single out there. Bruno built his reputation as a songwriter and musician before he even introduced himself as a singer and performer. I'm sure many Adam fans would agree with you- that Adam is as accomplished at songwriting as Bruno and Adele. However, the overwhelming majority of radio listeners and the music industry would not agree with your statement in any way. I love Adam to death, but my opinion is that he is still working on his songwriting skills. He is still having to rely on others to help him write songs. He is a co-writer. IMO, Adams greatest assets lie in singing and performing at this time. Bruno and Adele have been writing songs, complete songs with melodies, for years. It takes time to become a PINK, Adele or Bruno. It's a process and Adam is learning. Right now Bruno and Adele have an industry wide respect all over the world for many songs that they have written, including multiple Grammy nominations and awards. How could the majority of radio listeners agree or disagree with me, if they never heard any of adam's songs on the radio? And I don't know specifically about Adele, but I know the majority of pop songs are co-written. Pink's WWFM was a co-write. Everybody does it, and it doesn't take away from Adam as a song writer. Given his nature, I don't know if he'll ever decide to write by himself.
