Bruno Mars became Bruno Mars by putting his own music out there. Same with Adele. Adam's music is just as good as theirs, and as a singer and performer he's better than the both of them put together. There's only a limited number of singles Adam can release off of this album, the first one wasn't his, and if now the second one is still isn't his, well, I'll be pissed. If CK's and BM's songs were decidedly better than Adam's, I'd say nothing, but they aren't! IMO If Bruno's song and Bruno's fans and his name in general will help him break through the US and UK market and make it BIG, we WILL have another single written by Adam, Cuckoo or Trespassing. We had 3 singles from the first album why not for this one too? We are talking here, but we are not the ones who take the risk. I will support everything that they'll decide to go for.  I think we'll have more than 3 singles But it's still a limited amount. The UK music press people were very impressed by Cuckoo. To be fair - they didn't hear NCOE. But still, they were very enthusiastic about Cuckoo. Why ask for their opinion and then not listen to it? As for supporting everything they decide to do - the label's decision may go against what Adam wants, but we'll never know. Once a decision is made, he always stands behind it, as if it was his (which is admireable). |

Also, I think that takes away from the "It must be NCOE" speculation. Doesn't mean it isn't the new single but I think they all still have an equal chance with this new info. IMHO |

Two different UK music press people heard an early version of NCOE and called it a hit (Popjustice and Electroqueer). One loved it more than Cuckoo. Also, I think it's likely that there may be more than two singles in various countries worldwide, but that this is a bigger hurdle in the US, so I'm not counting on anything, hoping though of course  . |

Because, like WWFM, it is a catchy song with great hooks that fits Adam's voice like a glove. NCOE is uptempo and it fits. Bruno's songs fit on Top 40 radio in every corner of the world. Of course not, but when added to the fact that this is a good song, it sure can't hurt. Bruno's name does mean something in Pop music. He's like the male Adele as far as singles go. Bruno built his reputation as a songwriter and musician before he even introduced himself as a singer and performer. I'm sure many Adam fans would agree with you- that Adam is as accomplished at songwriting as Bruno and Adele. However, the overwhelming majority of radio listeners and the music industry would not agree with your statement in any way. I love Adam to death, but my opinion is that he is still working on his songwriting skills. He is still having to rely on others to help him write songs. He is a co-writer. IMO, Adams greatest assets lie in singing and performing at this time. Bruno and Adele have been writing songs, complete songs with melodies, for years. It takes time to become a PINK, Adele or Bruno. It's a process and Adam is learning. Right now Bruno and Adele have an industry wide respect all over the world for many songs that they have written, including multiple Grammy nominations and awards. |
