I don't know, I hear it and I'm born in New Orleans. Maybe it's just me. And, like you, I thought BTIKM would do better too. I still really like it. I think it became sort of a sacrificial song. I just don't like the way it's been pushed aside with the industry already seeming to want a second single from an cd that hasn't even been released. I'll never really understand how they expected a song to be requested without anyone hearing it being played. If you didn't see Leno or watch Ellen, you wouldn't have known about it. It seems to be a very fickle industry. I was raised in the heart of Cajun country which New Orleans ain't. Actually lived in New Iberia for six and a half years. There is nothing remotely cajun in his voice in Trespassing, I'd give you maybe 9th ward but definitely no Cajun. ETA: New Orleans accent is NOT Cajun, very different as is North Louisiana accent. Cajun is more tied to your heritage than your location. Yes, New Orleans accent sounds like the Boston accent. North Louisiana sounds southern hick like MS, AL, and TN. Cajun country has it's own accent too. I'm originally from Texas and have a Texas drawl accent myself so all these new accents were very strange to me and hard to get use to.

TRESPASSING has been my favorite from the beginning and am so excited Adam is performing it on NNN.... I hope. And a comment on Steven Tyler. I have been to many, many, many Aerosmith concerts, but Steven Tyler is no longer someone I look up to. AI was a huge mistake for him, and for the show. It's depressing that it ever occurred. I guess I'm used to Randy being an idiot much of the time, but from Steven, I expected more.

nica I agree with every word here - My feelings are similar. (On a related note, I always wonder why people think old people like to hear bland music. They invented jazz and rock and roll.) I listened to the new videos of NCOE and Trespassing. I believe Trespassing WILL become Adam's signature song regardless of whether it is ever a single. I can just imagine this song in concert with the house lights turned up and everyone stomping and singing along. For NCOE .... Adam's raspy vocals really elevate the song from what it would be sung in Bruno's totally bland voice. The trouble is ... from what we heard on the snippet, Adam's voice sounded processed, smoothed out and dumbed down. Not raw, wild, and amazing. The lyrics are not memorable. It sure doesn't sound like a dance tune to me. Maybe the new arrangement will be amazing. I sure hope so. To me it just feels like RCA is trying to cast Adam as something he's not. I'm willing to be convinced and won over by NCOE but that day has not yet arrived. I have to think Adam will prevail in the end ... hoping for a spaceship video featuring Adam piloting into the Death Star. Either that, or falling in love with a Finnish opthamologist who cured that pesky dry eye syndrome of which he so eloquently sings ... I think NCOE is a beautiful song and when I hear it I hear Celine or Streisand singing it (are they played in the clubs?). I want that GN Mutha F....king Beast that we saw on the GN Tour. Isn't Trespassing also about atmospheric funkydelicious dancy songs...bring it. I don't want to writhe in my chair to NCOE, I want to "shake my ass" and "dance". JMO. And...I know nothing! I just wants some fun this time.

Sooooooo excited for trespassing. I knew he must have been gearing up for something...
Re: Steven. Meh saw idol for the first time this season. Lol that Steven has a scarf tied around his stationary Mic. I think I'll skip the show until Adam is on.

Question......the radio concerts, to include the Six Flag New England concert, do the artists get paid or do they do these concerts as a favor the the radio stations? I recognize exposure to the artist is a form of payment, new fans and hopefully fans that will be buying the album, just curious if they receive payment from ticket sales too.

Six Flags would be paid.
