Haha! Guess I'm overruled...song sounds so kitschy to me. Jazzy, sure...but  LOL, get where you're coming from, but she has the best voice of any of Adam's friends IMO. Definitely not a pop singer, though. |

End of an era, for sure. The very first "real" record I ever had in my life was Dick Clark's 20 Years of Rock N Roll. I got it for my birthday when I was 8, and listened to it all.the.time. These were amazing hits on this record -- everything from Rock Around the Clock to Whole Lotta Shakin' (wonder what that was about ... hmmmm) to Louie Louie, You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling, Brown Eyed Girl, Dock of the Bay, and much more. I still love those songs. Am I right that Clark's involvement with "dick clark productions" had ended, other than continuing to work as a host, by the time of the AMA debacle and the cancellation of Adam's appearance on New Year's Rockin' Eve in 2009? I'd like to think he was a little more worldly than that... I have that LP! Here's a pic of it.  I can remember watching American Bandstand which he hosted everyday after school. Official VEVO video ( music only) of NCOE has 303 views and 1,116 likes. How's that possible? The VEVO counter is the YouTube counter --- It stops at 302 or 303 for up to 24 hours and that is the end of real time views counting. Then they start to process the plays before they are change the counter and eliminate repeat plays and make other secret adjustments. It is processed in batches from there forward. The YT counter is NOT the number of actual views and is hard to manipulate. But some things are known -- like there is another "sticking" point at 10,000 views. |
