Now that we are realizing that EVERY FUCKING SONG is a hit on this album, we could have a contest on a slow day (if there is ever another - which may not happen!!). I love games, which is why I'm putting this ridiculous suggestion out there for 'someday' consideration. We could poll what we think will be the next 'big hit' from "Trespassing" - - because it will happen!! What will be the third single; or, what will be the biggest hit from the album, when all is said and done?? My opinion changes every day; it's hard when every single melody has me either dancing or crying or needing to move from room to room, like an animal searching for a place of solace.
Okay . . . back to finding the poet in me.

Mods please delete if necessary since it is definitely NOT an Adam comment, but how many copies of his latest album has David Cook sold ? (since he was dropped by RCA) He opened with 46,000. He hasn't sold much since then. He might be slightly over 100K. And the singles did poorly.

I am going to have to jump in and defend nonchallance a bit. I think she got jumped on a bit for speaking her mind. We are all in different places and I think there is some truth in everyone's views. It is certainly true that people who haven't walked in the shoes have no business telling those that have how they should feel or react. But I think nonchallance is speaking of a place that should be the goal--that sexuality doesn't matter at all. I have always had the unpopular opinion that if we shouldn't be ashamed of what we have no control over (gender, sexuality, appearance etc) then we should also not be proud of it over others who are different. I am not a proud woman, I am just a woman, who is proud of the choices she has made and the human she has become. I don't understand "black pride" because I would never say I have "white pride". I don't even like the term "gay community" because I don't feel a part of the "straight community". Within these groups are people who I may have more in common with than those I am categorized with. And I get that persecuted people ban together for strength and support and that this is necessary. But what I think maybe nonchallance is hinting at is that someday we will have no need for differentiations. That being gay will be no more important than someone who is attracted to tall people, or blonds, or whatever. We will have no need for gay websites or the like. No labels, just humans. I guess I am idealistic myself. As Q3 posted much earlier today: Music should not be classified as gay or straight. Artists should not be classified as gay or straight. And people should not be classified as gay or straight. I know there are lots of arguments for labels. And reasons for "like" people to group. For me the groupings and labels are the problem. Ok...now tell me how I am wrong.... Not wrong. I would love for the world to function this way. No labels. No discrimination. Yeah, it sounds fabulous....striving for that place is what I think we all want!

Ugh for David Cook. It's a tough business. I wish him the very best of luck.
I know it's a totally different situation, but it does make me hope a little harder that Adam's CD does well and radio embraces his singles.

Me neither - are we the last 2 people in North America not to own it ? NOPE!!!! I don't have it either and don't plan to. They play her songs more than once an hour on the radio anyway.
