I don't fit nicely in a box: I choose not to be defined by gender I choose not to be defined by color I choose not to be defined by age I choose to not be defined by a job I choose to not be defined by a body shape I choose to be defined by how well I love It''s something I've learned from AFL (I am still working on some of those) :

Ugh for David Cook. It's a tough business. I wish him the very best of luck. I know it's a totally different situation, but it does make me hope a little harder that Adam's CD does well and radio embraces his singles. I don't want to see anyone fail. Honestly, though, I feel like there are many 'David Cooks' out there; many 'Kris Allens'; so, so many talented artists who are just like talented folks in any vocation or career who are struggling. What makes Adam different isn't just my opinion. He IS. He is above the crowd. The fray. Beyond the excellent, ordinary rest of us. He will not be 'dropped' because he is an explosion of talent and beauty and intelligence - oh, and he has a voice like no other. This combination cannot be denied. Will not be denied. What if his promotion totally fails him and radio won't play him? He will still be successful!! I am certain. He is too fabulous to fade into the fabric of the rest of us. He cannot thread our needle. He is too big; too unique; this knowledge sits in my bones. He will weave his way and change the world.

I have no issues with people who legitimately don't care for the music - would be fingers on chalkboard for my rammstein loving husband, but reviewer commits the cardinal sin... ;D I have tickets for Rammstein on Sunday in Vancouver, going with my Lady Gaga-loving wife... Great music is great music (to quote AFL: My ears don't discriminate). The one should not exclude the other, try playing him some Runnin', he might get on board after a while! Here more Rammstein lovers. I saw their concert Nassau Colosseum in Long Island, NY with my 3 boys, huge Rammstein lovers. Great music is a great music. It was spectacular and very, very theatrical. Despite AI judges opinion theatrical is a GOOD THING not BAD THING!! 8-) But I was dreaming about the same production for Adam, it would be heavenly fucking GREAT! That voice, that voice!

I was under the impression that Idol's contracts with RCA were for up to X number of albums, I think five? But, RCA can choose not to exercise that option at any time. They can refuse to produce albums but, if they want to keep the Idol artist, that artist cannot refuse to make the albums.
Am I wrong about that?
