Adele 21 is now above Trespassing on iTunes. Trespassing is #4, #3 excluding John Mayer's presale. Trespassing stayed ahead of 21 long enough. So all is good. NCOE is now at #102, peaked at #92 in one of the best Idol bumps of the year. Peak was Saturday early afternoon. Even though the Idol promo was a push to buy the album. Trespassing (single) is now at #180. I am thinking that Adele managed to tap into "SuBo" buying audience... so she is selling to the young and the old... she is a "safe" gift to any relative or a friend - of any age... She is also sounding "country" to my ears so I think the country music fans are buying as well. ... I am probably the only person in the world who neither owns nor has any desire to own her album...I stopped into my local B&N to check on TP. They have a "new music" display right by the registers, so that you pass by it while waiting in the line.... Adam had 1 DeLuxe and 1 Regular left in his slots. However the slots were in the lower right corner - all the way by the floor. Adele was right on the eye level along with some names I've never heard of (which means nothing of course)... I was really upset by the placement but could not re-arrange... What day do the BB numbers come out? I don't own an Adele CD either. I have no deisire for one. I would really like to see Walgreens put the CD at the check out counter like I see other artists You know...go in for some medicine...see the CD...buy it...feel better real fast! ;D |

With people reporting in on TP availability from shopping excursions, it struck me how often I was asked if I wanted help at the three places I went (when I can never get help when I want it btw) - WalMart, Target and Best Buy. Looking back I realize it was because I stood and stared at the rack for an unnaturally long time because of my inner dialogue. -There are only 2/3 deluxe left - I want to get them but then they'll be out. -Well, that's okay, I AM buying them after all. -But what if it discourages some casual/impulse fan from buying TP at all? -I could buy standard as gifts but I don't want to because the bonus tracks are essential. But I don't want buyers after me to miss out on the bonus tracks either - or maybe they'll decide not to buy at all or will, but then won't know how great the whole album is. - Maybe I should just order them. But would those still count as first week sales? IDK. (It actually went quite a ways on from there. No wonder the adolescent employees thought I was having a stroke. I think I'm with Seoulmate's gifs on the toll fandom is taking on me.)

Do the two (Reg and Deluxe) get combined for the BB total count? In other words, does on Reg sale and one Deluxe sale = 2 sales for BB count. Yes or no? Does 1 digital reg sale, 1 digital deluxe sale and 1 CD reg sale and 1 CD deluxe sale = 4 sales for BB count. Yes or no? Yes they are all combined for Billboard they are just listed separately on the retailer's charts because those charts are tracking the individual items. Billboard 200 is the combined total of all the versions, physical, digital, standard and deluxe. THANK YOU!!! :D |

jesslala, thanks for checking in. But did you have fun? LOL It's like Adam fan reporting in from the field. Full time job. What happened with the fan running up? Why do they keep ending "Cuckoo" so abruptly. They get the audience to participate and then they just. stop. Adam brought the fan up because she was crazy at their M&G and he was doing CUCKOO. |

I just got home from KTUphoria. I'm absolutely deaf in my right ear. I'm uploading my video now but it's gonna take about 2 1/2 hours to upload because its HD. My camera shut itself off when he was performing Cuckoo but, fortunately, I saw it and was able to capture the band intro and ending. I also caught the crazy fan he brought up on the stage. It was very difficult taking the video because I'm kinda short and have bum shoulders so it was difficult to hold the camera over the heads of the girls in front of me. Every time the camera catches the tops of their head or their waving arms, it goes out of focus. (My shaky hands, of course, had absolutely nothing to do with it!!!!) Once again, every act had major sound issues. Poor K'Naan changed the song he was going to sing because of it and apologized to the audience. Other artists apologized too. Adam was in full voice tonight even though at times he couldn't be heard over the band. Such a shame. I was lucky enough to be close enough that I could hear his voice before it hit the mike. I'm not a singer, but I do believe the backup singers are off, a lot. I hope they get that straightened out, soon. I hope the video isn't a total waste. I haven't even reviewed it yet because I wanted to get the upload started for y'all. Oh, just a personal opinion here, Adam needs to each a sandwich. He's very, very thin. Thanks for sharing your experience, can't wait for your videos!! |

Looking at the stunning pics wal brought over I keep thinking that Adam can't be real. He is so good looking, but it is much more than that. He exudes joy! Fierceness! Frivolity! Energy! These pictures look like stills from a movie about a pop star. Then, add the vocal talent, technique, versatility and nuance and it is difficult to believe it all comes in the same package. I've said it before. It is like a remake of "A Star is Born" with a male lead instead of a female. The only thing is, Hollywood would have to get the charismatic, gorgeous, sexy actor and then dub in the vocals, cuz no actor could sing like that, and no singer could look and act like that.
