Yes, we are very fortunate to have a long time fan of Queen like our talon, who so generously shares with us his long term knowledge, who is as rabid a Queen fan as we are Adam fans, and who is open to appreciating Adam while retaining his Freddie love. Rational reasonable discourse, so glad you have stuck with us, talon. I for one really enjoy your posts, and your perspective and your openness to Adam's talent. I love Freddie also, definitely a big part of the soundtrack of my life. Cheers!

Talon, we all know the set stays basically the same BUT there are always some changes throughout the tour...so may be the Take My Breath Away will show up at some point, because as you said it was a bit weird to have a tiny teaser and go into WWTLF...reminded me of the UP during EMAs...and who knows what else will be added or dropped. The more changes the better IMO, for those of us who watch everything. I feel energized today by the concert! And I wasn't even there... Maybe that's the case I actually feel energized from the gig too....it's strange because I realize B&R are getting older and older and I have to cherish this time....but a small selfish part of me says do at least one more go around in 4 years during the 30th anniversary of Innuendo and base the tour around that. Oh that would be fresh indeed BUT back to reality which ain't that bad at all. A nice mixture of needing the GH set with the obscurities

So i kind of had to disappear after the gig last night so I wanted to pop in for a few thoughts: a. Missed the intro and now will wait til I see the gig to see it in person. This set from what I've seen is impressive. So much so that I hope there is a blu-ray from this tour. It looks amazing.... b. I posted at one point that the set list was starting to disappoint in terms of freshness given what I was seeing in the beginning and while I stand by that to a point, I will say that after the whole thing...I was wrong. Though I will say I'd like to have seen one or two things swapped out in the beginning...and I will also say it wasn't *QUITE* far enough for me...but I was pretty damn near fully satisfied by the end. Then again they played It's Late...in full. A few year back I would have said there was no chance in hell I was getting that. And then when I had warmed up to (seeing Adam's playlist...then the leaked set), I tried to not get my hopes up and figured they'd do an edited version but they did the whole shebang. Right there the setlist wins for me It's in my top 5 of all time Queen songs...and they did a HELL of a job. c. Strange additions - The You Take My BReath Away bit was such a tease. I was amazed when I heard it and then I heard the multi Freddie's going and I thought oh that's a nice intro...then I thought you'd hear Spike on the keyboard and Adam singing....So why add it as an intro to WWTLF? Ah well. d. Freddie's Day Oh call and response?! Maybe Adam never felt quite comfortable to doing it... e. Tyler Warren. I love what he brought to the table. I love Rufus but I just think Tyler adds more to the mix...literally. his backing vocals were a nice addition...I LOVED I'm In Love WIth My Car when Roger doesn't quite do the 70s high part, but instead we had a little duet with Tyler doing it while Roger stayed down a bit - they sounded VERY good together. What a dream come true for him. Plays Queen all his life to the point of auditioning for QUeen Extravaganza and then being brought up to the big leagues and get to sing a duet with Roger on his song? He adds a lot and I hope to get more vids on that. He seems just thrilled to be there.. f. That was one of the better sounding 1st gigs of a tour I've heard...good on them. A few sloppy moments for the band and of lyrical mishap or two (actually mostly all in Spread Your Wings ) ...but all in all quite tight....even It's Late which is a tough one. g. Bo Rap - the elephant always in the room. I'm happy for him and for you guys there. Of course it's a bit weird. I'm still clutching for Freddie a bit...and less Freddie always makes him seem he's just that much more gone...I know how much more gone can you get. He's been dead for over 25 years lol...But I really loved the Hammersmith 2012 version when Adam introduced him on screen. With that being said I understand giving it over. I do like Freddie/Adam duetting at the end still and Freddie getting that last touch since that is his biggest accomplishment - his shining moment etc. All in all though - This is an awesome tour and I'm feeling even more excited than before. I hope the new additions stick....especially It's Late.

Or that's it! Ok...the leaked list had a WWRY after WATC which I initially thought was a screw up..but interestingly done.

Ooh the faster upbeat ending BBC style a bit - a bit sloppy - needs a bit tightening but I like the idea...and that could work really well!

Still a Freddie/Adam duet at the end which is nice... and then Freddie ends it Give them another 5 years touring and he'll get the whole song
