I have a small sound coming from this broken station speaker - What did Adam say before moving into It's Late? Up in the setlist, correct? Under Pressure into It's Late? I wouldn't be surprised to see TYMD return after the solo spot... He said it's the Anniversary of News of the World in 197? Thank you...so as a way to introduce a track from it so to speak....I hope that doesn't mean it didn't get as good a reception as they hope. I'm desperate to keep it in the set til Boston!

I worry a bit about that. There's a bit of history there with Brian being a little crotchety..I worried about it when I saw that tweet today. He is someone who is hard to get out of a routine. I would bet he feels much more comfortable with WWRY/WATC than WWRY opening. He once famously said that when they stuck Friends Will Be Friends in the middle of the two in 86 that it was a mistake. Combine that with SYW having a few sloppy moments from Adam and from the band, I hope Brian didn't vote to scrap it for the familiar. Case in point. During QPR they were opening The Cosmos Rocks tour with a song from TCR, Surf's Up...School's Out and then it got shorter, and shorter, and then it went to Hammer To Fall which honestly I'm not keen on as an opener... I can deal with it overall just as long as SYW remains.... What tweet???? Someone tweeted to him a vid of the opening and he replied with something like: Interesting...and that may be the only time that ever happens! As in they were changing the opening....So I thought it might be a bit different tonight and it is...

I'm hearing they dropped the full We Will Rock You as opener? Is that true? If so, it'll be back for the encore - hopefully NOT in place of Spread Your Wings.... Nope... still the opening song.... just shorter version I can't hear anything at this work station unfortunately...if it's a really short version, than I expect it back in the encore. I doubt they ONLY do a shortened edited version of the track. then again I've been surprised a bit this tour...

Just a bit of the stomp stomp clap. My wish is the same as yours. I worry a bit about that. One other interesting note I forgot from last night while waiting for tonight...and sadly I won't be able to hear tonight at all from the station I'm at :( BUT I can't remember for the life of me the last full concert Queen played that Tie Your Mother Down wasn't a part of. Brian long has said it was the song that always went right no matter how bad the gig was. I just never thought I'd see the day! I would have said it was an always! I really missed not having TYMD. I love the song and have heard it numerous times, so if it's being left off instead of say It's Late than I'm fine with it but it was definitely surprising!

Tonight's show is being recorded. Official recording. Aren't they always? Are you meaning beyond the usual?

Yes, we are very fortunate to have a long time fan of Queen like our talon, who so generously shares with us his long term knowledge, who is as rabid a Queen fan as we are Adam fans, and who is open to appreciating Adam while retaining his Freddie love. Rational reasonable discourse, so glad you have stuck with us, talon. I for one really enjoy your posts, and your perspective and your openness to Adam's talent. I love Freddie also, definitely a big part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you, Red Panda, beautifully said. Talon you have very generously educated us on Queen music history which has helped me appreciate this amazing iconic band even more...if that is at all possible. Thank you. I have always loved the music of Queen and appreciated Freddie's genius and it has been easy for me to wrap the same love and energy around Adam who keeps my love for music alive still as he continues the tradition of sharing his genius and gifts to the new generations. Thank you. I also want to thank you and all the others for making me feel welcome and tolerating the occasional crotchedy or curmudgeonly comment or observation. It's still tough to let go of Freddie after all these years. But thank you to Adam for allowing me to still experience this soundtrack of my life. He has a difficult task and he succeeds more often than not which from this massive Queen and Freddie fan is meant as high praise!
