It seems like you two may have been offended and I'm not sure why. I'm not slighting Adam by saying he's not perfect and has flaws...Well all have them - even legends have them. So my saying that I feel Adam is at his weakest at rock numbers does not lump me in with those who "hope it fails". That's far from what I want. I think I've been very straight forward. I like that it's successful. I went to 3 gigs in 2014 and am going to 2-3 gigs this year. I hope they tour for a long while and I hope they do an album together. I think that he is one of only a few vocalists that are a decent vehicle for the band.

And maybe day I'll be convinced. I didn't like his take on Somebody To Love the first go around. I was surprised because I thought I'd love it and I didn't....BUT by the time 2014 came around he had switched it up and I dug it. BUT After 3 years + of touring and performing, I just don't see suddenly liking his hard rock singing. Luckily Queen is a very eclectic band with many different genres.

And again I'm trying not to offend, but I always think the argument "I took someone and they loved it" is a weak argument. I mean...what does that prove? Should I say OH!!! Okay...yeah he's a great rock singer. I mean what would it mean if I told you that I know of a Queen fan who got front row tickets and was excited to be there and left halfway through because she hated it. Does that mean Adam's a failure or that you're wrong? No.

It also doesn't matter that Brian and Roger love him and think he's successful. I love both of them to death but that doesn't mean I agree with everything they do or say in the band's name. AND EVEN if they did think he had weaknesses you're not going to hear that from Brian or Roger! Why would you?

Brian also has said that Golden Days is the best album he has ever put out. Let that sink in. The BEST thing Brian has been associated with. AND I'm not saying he can't feel that way....but that doesn't make it fact....

Sound familiar? It's actually Brian talking about Kerry Ellis in 2014.


I LOVE that Brian and Roger found Adam and it let them go back out on the road to entertain. I'm glad the three really seem to enjoy each other and enjoy making music.

And I will say that for the record.......That at this point....Adam is probably the best fit for a band with all the differing styles. There are many singers who are more genuine "rock" singers. But that is only a portion of the catalogue.

Not only practice - Brian would have to learn a lot of it Fight From The Inside was mostly Roger! Not that Brian couldn't learn it quickly...but he'd have to want to And they haven't done it since they recorded it....



-----Again Adam COULD do it. I just think it's unlikely. I'd say there's a 10% chance they do it at all....and if so it'd be about a 25% chance that Adam would sing it. I have been pretty vocal that I'd like to see Roger change up his section (Brian is stuck doing LOML but I'd like to see him add a quick intro type song ala 2012). Always Days of Our Lives or A Kind of Magic. So many other choices he could throw in. If I had my way I'd take like 10 songs and cycle them through. One day Days, one day Magic, one day Fight, one day Tenement Funster, one day Heaven For Everyone, etc. etc.


As for GDML...yeah there's a good chance he'd be extra demonstrative....Freddie was too lol...I just am not that big a fan of the song anyways - many other choices I'd rather see!

Well it's certainly no secret that in my opinion Adams weakest when he tries the really hard rocking stuff. He does the popper stuff, the theatrical stuff, and the ballads extremely well... But he never convinced me on stone cold crazy or tie your mother down... And the like...(or whole lotta love for that matter). I've always said he is a pop singer diva type who can sing rock, not a natural rock singer.

As far as surprise, when I've seen Adam talk about his favorite queen songs it's not usually the hard rocking ones he mentions... AND again while he COULD do Fight, it would be strange in my eyes for Adam to sing a song originally sang by Roger when Roger is right there lol. Just like Adam wouldn't sing '39... It certainly MAY happen but if I was a betting man, IF we get Fight (which I'm fairly doubtful on), I would bet it would be Roger singing it...

As we get closer and closer we seem to be looking at tweets, etc. to guess the upcoming setlists. Mostly it appears to be about News of the World, Americana, and the promise of newness.



Now you obviously haven't been Queen fans long enough that you still take the good Doctor May at face value I honestly don't think we're getting *THAT* different a set. As you all know I love Queen with all my heart and soul. By far my favorite band of all time, and along with Star Wars, they are something I put alongside family as favorite things in my life So know that I mean the following with the greatest respect. Adventurous? With set lists they are not...especially in the post Freddie years. Brian especially seems comfortable just slinging on the Old Lady and playing the hits. He’s certainly earned the right to do so but it just means I kind of smile and nod when he’s in salesman mode I expect a very similar set list from the past 3-4 years - perhaps shuffled around a bit but ultimately the same.



Now on the same page, people keying into the “Americana” part of Brian’s quotes. That is only Brian’s way of saying what Queen did in America in that timeframe. It does not mean any new covers or the like. And sorry Q3. I don’t think Jailhouse Rock is going to be played no matter how many times you predict it….I swear I think you predict it as a way to *WILL* it to happen (and yes I do the same with some of my picks -- see below)

Sheer Heart Attack - LIKELY YES I agree with Q3 - THE most likely addition - written by
Roger and an absolute fan fav from this time period. I will say it may
replace Stone Cold Crazy - Older Rog might not want to do both fast
paced songs.

All Dead, All Dead - DEFINITE NOT - A Brian sung piano track? Not gonna happen. Never
done live, and won’t be

Spread Your Wings - POSSIBLE - This would be taylor made as a power ballad - would be
this tour’s Play The Game or Love Kills. It is a GH as well so it fits.

Fight From The Inside - LIKELY NOT - I would almost say definite not - never been done
live...Outside shot if Rog decides to get adventuresome in HIS set.
Won’t be an Adam led track

Get Down, Make Love - LIKELY YES. It’s funk, it’s Adam-y, it was played often at this time.
This one just makes too much sense. Honestly one of my least fav
tracks from the album but I’d be more surprised if it doesn’t
Happen.

Sleeping On The Sidewalk - LIKELY NOT - Q3 said this was not played much. That is an
understatement. There are only 2 known times they played it
live. Brian also much later on in 1998 played it a handful of
times during his solo gigs. BUT I’d give it an outside shot if
Brian throws it in pre Love Of My Life, etc. Still doubtful or if
so it’ll be laidback & accoustic and NOT an Adam version

Who Needs You - DEFINITE NOT - No chance - never done, obscure Deacon track, not a
very live track. Just can’t see it

It’s Late - POSSIBLE - Ok in all honesty this is closer to LIKELY NOT but as Jailhouse Rock is
to Q3, It’s Late is to Talon. Always in my rotating Top 5 Queen
Tracks ever, I LOVE this song. Possibly the most archetype Queen
rock track. They did do it a bunch on this tour (and the next two)
but then it went away never to be heard from again since 1979. It’s
also a very difficult song that Brian would have to do a lot of
practicing on and well...I don’t think he wants to, LOL.

My Melancholy Blues - LIKELY NOT - They did do this a lot during these tours but this seems
like too much a Freddie track to be done with QAL.

So I got to watch/listen and I liked it quite a bit. Musically interesting - a little Pink Floyd meets Bowie. What a nice little surprise treat this has been. Hope this is a sign of things to come from RT
