I heard about that--I hope they get fired. That was inexcusable.

Well - somewhere I read that the artist of a tour makes about 35% of the gross. So, rounding up $106M.... Total takehome for "Queen" (i.e. Brian/Roger/Adam as everyone else is presumed salaried) = $106M * .35 = $37.1M Assuming Roger and Bri cut in Adam evenly = 37.1 / 3 = $12.4M Assuming Uncle Sam takes 50% = $12.4M / 2 = $6.2M Assuming Adam pays the usual 10% to agent and 20% to management = 6.2 - (.62+1.24) = 6.2-1.86 = $4.34M So, NOT INCLUDING MERCHANDISE, I'm gonna estimate that Adam put at least over $4M in his bank account free and clear. If Queen cleared over 35%, and/or Adam has a good tax accountant he brought home significantly more. Looking at the high-ish end of things this way with Queen taking home 45% and Adam in a 36% tax bracket: Total takehome for "Queen" (i.e. Brian/Roger/Adam as everyone else is presumed salaried) = $106M * .45 = $47.7M Assuming Roger and Bri cut in Adam evenly = 47.7 / 3 = $15.9M Assuming Uncle Sam takes 36% = $15.9M * .64 = $10.2M Assuming Adam pays the usual 10% to agent and 20% to management = 10.2 - 3.0 = $7.2M And, if INCLUDED MERCHANDISE and FAN PACKAGES presumably doubles that take-home pay, I'm gonna estimate that Adam may have put as much as 7.2 * 2 = $14.4M in his bank account free and clear. <grins> So knowing next to nothing, I'll say the range of Adam's take home pay with Queen over the last 12 months has been between $4.3M and $14.4 M #canbuyasmanydimmersashewants

spotify ,but not the free option, its very limited and just meant as a taster I asked my twenty-something son the exact same question and he said that everyone he knows uses Spotify. Also, Adam would be taxed on his net income after allowable business expenses (agent, management, touring costs) so the government would not get that sizable a chunk. So I am guessing over 5 million using the other assumptions.

I'm late to the discussion of "hot" songs, but here is my contribution -- Cole Porter's "It's Too Darn Hot." Like all of Cole Porter's songs, it has such clever lyrics such as: According to the Kinsey report ev'ry average man you know much prefers to play his favorite sport when the temperature is low but when the thermometer goes way up and the weather is sizzling hot Mister Adam for his madam is not cause it's too too it's too darn hot, it's too darn hot It's too too too too darn hot Cole Porter was a gay man living at a time when homosexuality could not be publicly acknowledged. I feel sad to see D&G try to turn back the clock. ooh, thanks for the lyrics I am hopelessly late as in not even knowing there was a move to present hot lyrics. Did anyone do "Steam Heat"? It not, I will post the lyrics.

Also, has this brilliant little amendment to a heinous piece of state legislation been discussed. There is a bill similar to the Arizona one which the Arizona governor was essentially shamed into vetoing allowing businesses to not serve gay customers for religious reasons. Rep Virgin attached an amendment which requires these businesses to clearly post signs on their physical and web premises which says they do not serve gays (she includes race and gender). A sad state of affairs but a brilliant rejoinder. Oklahoma Lawmaker Wants Anti-Gay Businesses to Post “No Gays Allowed” Signs. Excellent!

If Queen cleared over 35%, and/or Adam has a good tax accountant he brought home significantly more. Adam's number is likely $15-18+ million less his direct expenses and taxes. And that is just a wild assed guess. Arena acts at the level Queen is at do not get paid a percentage of ticket receipts. They are paid a set amount for a tour of xx number of dates and a bonus for sellouts. They also get most of VIP $, % concession $, % merchandise $, etc. So probably about $15 million more which the artists' keep from things not on that spreadsheet. > Adam was essential to this tour, I am sure that his people negotiated a great deal for him. They also get a tour budget -- part of the negotiation. This was not an extravagant tour, they had a relatively small crew, no huge events, etc. Sometimes the artists fund the tour. I am 99% certain LiveNation bankrolled with with support from UMG, Amex, Citibank and other sponsors. *** Queen is a four way split -- Freddie Trust and John also get something. As for what happens to Adam's share. I bet his accountants are substantially better than you give them credit for -- and I am sure they can shelter some of his 2015 income. Income taxes are after all expenses, not before -- so he pays his management, lawyers, accountants, company etc. first then pays his taxes. He would not have an agent to pay, since this was not through his booking agent. So $15 million less 30% for Adam's expenses = $10.5 million, I figure he gets to keep about 60% of that. That is the low end of my estimate. *** No fan has any idea what the numbers are. I could be way, way off. What I am sure of is that Adam made more in the past 12 months than he has ever made in a year before.

I actually liked her up to that. The idea she or her husband is original or some trailblazer is beyond obsurd. Did he land on the moon too lol? I always thought them being married would cause issues, she always takes his side. So something like this was always inevitable. I doubt she well get axed. She has a contract. The only way I see it happening. If Joe the contestent decides to sue for character defimation. She has a contract. So most likely their well be a apology and they well move on.

Actually, in an ironic way, this bill is indeed brilliant. For those who find Oklahoma politics distasteful, I'll summarize. A democratic legislator, who is completely against the conservative majority's desire to allow businesses to discriminate against gays for "religious reasons", is putting an addendum to the discrimination bill that says that IF a company is going to discriminate, they must be forced to advertise the discrimination openly. So, if you are going to refuse service, you are required to put up the metaphorical "COLORED"/"WHITES" signs on the water fountains. Both to protect the sensitivities of any gay people so they know to avoid the place, but also to make the business easy to identify for future discrimination claims/boycott actions. #ifyacan'tbeatthem, expose'em
