You will need a paid subscription on a table/iPad as well. The app is free, but you will need a paid subscription in order to stream songs on-demand. Otherwise you are only shuffle play, which doesn't allow for on-demand streaming. And that's what you need to be able to do in order for it to count for Billboard. Okay, thank you for the explanation. Installing it on my PC now. You can use your iPad.

There is free Spotify streaming for phones and tablets. They launched it in December 2013. iPhone App: itunes.apple.com/us/app/spotify-music/id324684580?mt=8Android: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=enSpotify is now free on mobile and tablet. Listen to the right music, wherever you are. With Spotify, you have access to a world of music. You can listen to artists and albums, or create your own playlist of your favorite songs. Want to discover new music? Choose a ready-made playlist that suits your mood or get personalized recommendations. Listen for free on mobile • Play any artist, album, or playlist on shuffle mode Listen for free on tablet • Play any song, any time Spotify Premium features • Play any song, any time on any device--mobile, tablet, or your computer • Download music for offline listening. • Enjoy amazing sound quality. • No ads – just uninterrupted music. • No commitment - cancel any time you like The app is free, of course. However, on-demand, specific song streaming is NOT possible on mobile, only on a computer, unless you have a PAID Spotify account. So you will need a paid Spotify account in order to stream on your mobile phone. Without it, you can only shuffle play on mobile, not do on-demand streaming of a song. You will need a paid subscription on a table/iPad as well. But you can make a playlist, even with the free service, of songs you've chosen. So I don't understand. That is "on demand" ETA: NVM. I see Q3 clarified.

Does any of this matter if the fan lives in Canada? None of the streaming information matters in Canada. Billboard Canada Hot 100 (singles) = Sales + Radio Billboard Canada 200 (albums) = Sales of Albums only.

Streaming counts in NZ as of last Nov. So that well be important here too. When GT gets traction. Be good if it got added to some popular playlist. Thats how Lordes Royals blew up.

OMG!!! I did something that I never thought to do before and it worked. I go to twitter.com/search?f=realtime&q=%40adamlambert&src=typd to look for tweets about Adam all the time and sometimes I see a tweet from someone who has liked Adam in the past and has no idea that he has any new music coming out. A girl tweeted about how much she missed hearing Adam's music and wanted him to record some new stuff. I followed her name to her twitter page and I tweeted her (using the link on her page) about Adam's new music and included a link to an article about GT. I was so pleasantly surprised when her next tweet appeared shortly after that and it was about how excited she was to find out about Adam's new single and his new album.

Okay, thank you for the explanation. Installing it on my PC now. You can use your iPad. Crap, I'm so confused. So on the iPad, I have songs in a playlist, and it says Shuffle at the top. I can click on a song and play it. So does it count? It's not saved to my device... So it's streaming, correct? It looks a bit less confusing on the PC, and I can see Ghost Town waiting there, but not on my iPad. I can wait until tomorrow and see if your instructions for phones help me... ETA: Turned off "Hide Unplayable Songs" in settings and now can see the grayed-out Ghost Town on the iPad too. So at least that problem is solved. ETA2: Okay, I just searched for a song, clicked on it, and it is playing. And is not in a playlist. Free Spotify on the iPad. So I guess the only remaining question is if something is in a playlist, and is played, does that count as streaming?
