When I saw those baggy pants, all I could think of was my Dad in the 1950's. Since my dad was not a fashion maven and we didn't have much back then, those pants ( I think he had 3-4 pairs) came out every day since he worked in both the plant and the office. They must have been made of totally non-destructible material, they never wore out. Shiny yes. Indelible creases, yes. He wore his one blue suit for 25 years. He went in and out of style several times. LOL

Back in those days I remember that my mom had one suit and two blouses - one to dress it up and one to dress it down. It wasn't until many, many years later that I realized that we were not well off - I always thought my mom was very pretty and my dad the most handsome of all. No matter how many times my mom walked down the hallway in her Sunday suit my dad always reacted like it was the first time he had seen her wearing it and always commented on how pretty she looked.
The moment I saw Adam in those baggy pants, I thought of my dad's outfit. What's old is new.....
