Ok, so I went to Macy's looking for Adam's American icon display and/or catalog. They didn't know what I was talking about. This is Tarentum, PA. One person in the office said, " Are you sure he's in there?" Well, duh, I always go out of my way to find the office and ask for a catalog for some random person! I talked to two sales people who said he would be nice to come to work to stare at. So, I asked if they were going to participate in the American Icon campaign, and the executive in the office said, "I guess not. It's probably too expensive." Which I asked "too expensive?" I guess they have to opt in or not to these campaigns. Who knew? I told her they didn't know what they were missing.LOL

Adam's reach is farther than I could have imagined even a year ago, but he's still not universally known and/or appreciated, so I'm not surprised that his image is being used intermittently. I am just so thrilled that his name and face have become well enough known to be included in such a major worldwide campaign! Back when he was on Idol, I just hoped for longevity because I loved him and wanted him to stick around! He must really be pinching himself because I am--even just as his fan!

I doubt it. Those are the lyrics to the song New Dark Ages which is what was posted. Roger doesn't actually tweet himself - it's his PR team and they often just link videos to older songs. New Dark Ages is a 1991 song by The Cross (although rumored to have been demoed by Queen for the Innuendo album but rejected by John...quite emphatically) - a song about the AIDS crisis. Great song and if you listen carefully to Roger's humming in the beginning, it is close to Days of Our Lives -- BUT long story short I doubt the tweet has anything to do with anything...just part of the song :D Thanks Talon! I knew it was not a Queen song but part of the song New Dark Ages, I was just theorizing that they were going to sing a Roger song with Welcome lyrics, an Adam song with Welcome lyrics, and maybe if there was a Brian song with those lyrics, that too. I was in a hurry so not clear. I didn't actually know about Roger's PR team but the timing was interesting. Off to read the thread and the Boston Globe article. Gotta say, The Rolling Stones "Sympathy for the Devil" kept running through my head regarding the article. Welcome to the Show?

It is difficult to order from Macy's from outside the US and Canada. They have very restricted credit policies and other verifications in place. Macy's and Bloomingdales (owned by Macy's Inc.) have locations in Abu Dhabi -- opened in 2014. They have no plans to open up any other international locations.

I will be off to do some therapy shopping at Macy's tomorrow. Have to freshen up the wardrobe for the Isle of Wight adventure. I hope to find an Adam shrine in Rockaway, NJ.
