I totally agree, theosgma. I'll take a missed lyric now and then rather than a missed note any day. Adam simply does not miss notes. He doesn't even have to strain to reach them. For me, Adam has raised the bar very high as far as my opinion of other singers goes. It's kind of a curse sometimes. Singers who I used to think were outstanding vocalists don't sound as great to me as they used to, compared to Adam. But I do manage to enjoy lots of different music anyway. Adam is just in a different class all his own.
And I love Don't Stop Me Now! It's a real foot-stomper that gets your blood moving. And it really shows off Adam's voice.

I totally agree with Cassie's explanation and agree that although I notice them, they don't hinder my enjoyment of the song/presentation. I find myself amazed at the "recovery" with the lyric flubs...he doesn't miss a note or beat. IDT most in the audience even notice them.

Awesome! I was hoping for more than (the very limited reach) BUILD series! Fingers crossed for a few TV appearances! And possibly radio too!
On TV: may be Kelly and Ryan? - high probability IMO My perpetual hope - Colbert? - hoping against all hope GMA again? - doubt it this time around...

I agree, Cassie. I think the songs are so much part of him he doesn’t need to think at all, and that leads to these little word replacements... .. .which to me makes no difference whatsoever...
what does matter to me is the music, quality of voice, intonations, emotions I.e. all the non-verbal components... I am always surprised when the lyric flops are noted , because I fell like “who on earth cares?” - changes absolutely nothing... as opposed to being off key god forbid or having voice problems - this drives me crazy... as that Article about DSMN points out - music is about eliciting feelings and that’s accomplished by non-verbal means! seriously, people, if YOU had a choice of a “mistake”, would you choose a wrong word or a wrong note? What will bother your ears more? LOL! My thought exactly. I don't think I could enjoy an artist if I needed to look for a missed lyric or wonder about any change of delivery of some kind. But I guess we all view performances and listen to music differently and find enjoyment in our own ways. I loved my QAL show so much that I could not tell you if he missed a lyric or not. The place was rocking.

From the DailyMail UK. I would be curious to know which new songs Adam feels are the closest sounding to Queen and in what way. Looking forward to some promotional performances in the US. "Adam's fourth solo album Velvet, is set to be released worldwide in September. Speaking to The Herald Sun last month, the Queen frontman admitted his new work will please both fans of his solo music and the iconic band. He said 'artistically and creatively' new record Velvet is the closest sounding solo thing he has ever done to Queen. "

Love the close-up of Adam and Javi. Cute-ness overload!
And it does sound like Adam and his band will be doing "something" early in September. We know he's got that Build thing on Sept. 5. But there is more promo to come, for sure.

The place was rocking. It is all YouTube's fault I couldn't tell you if he messed up any lyrics in Vancouver, as I was there in the middle of it and did not care. But if I am in the middle of watching a YouTube video recording on a QAL concert and he messes up the lyrics, I experience a second hand embarrassment (as if *I* just made a mistake in front of 15K people), and I have to stop the video and skip it. OCD? I don't know, I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist...
