With all respect to the problem. This goes beyond California, this goes beyond America, this goes beyond HeWhoCannot amed (i know what an abomination He is) and this goes beyond what celebrities say, but what they promote, what they live and what example they set...EVERY DAY! the climate movement isn't lacking lip service. There are more than enough people who would agree and say we need to do something to save the Environment. It's the action that is completely missing. Don't want to kill the mood. Again: i wish for the best possible outcome for those affectet by this horror. Totally with you on this marionm...Until EVERYONE takes as much personal responsibility as they are able to, nothing much is going to change. Yes, it does take everyone. So maybe it is not the best idea to place the blame and cure at the feet of the celebrities because they are the easiest and a visible target. The politicians and governments (bringing people along) can help bring awareness and legislation to move things along faster if only they would try.

Just got notified my merch order is out for delivery so it should be there when I get home from work! And I want it for Halloween! I'm wearing it to work that day. The guys here got me a picture of Adam framed! For my birthday. It's Adam, Brian, and Roger on stage Vegas I think. Adam has the long purple coat on. I have it on my desk quite the conversation piece. They also got me a purple hat plus I have a purple witches hat! They keep bugging me about what I'm doing for Halloween. Should be fun!🤩 You are surrounding yourself with awesome "guys"!! I assume they are colleagues. Looks like you are "set" for Halloween I got part of my merchandise yesterday and I am still waiting for my cds from Empire.. Got notice though that there has been a mix-up with order numbers and delivery. Like many others here, I jumped at the cd pre-order from Empire right away, after coming to the conclusion that it's okay to swallow the delivery fee. Well, next time I will wait for Amazon. Just got a notice that says delivered so I'll see when I get home in a couple hours.

Lol, i'm surprised Adam would share the hotel. I mean it does make it easier to find him on future occations he's in London, given He really likes it and tries to stay there when in London. He's a grown ass man, has been in the business for a minute and what this could cause. James Cordon had to evacuate too! youtu.be/iDuZWpNtASEI wish these fires would stir celebrities up to be more vocal and active on environmental issues. Ironically James just today did a Airpool caraoke (carpool on a plane). Yes, i just went there and said that!!! #sorrynotsorry #thereisaidit Before anybody misunderstands me: of course i hope that the fires can be put Out as fast as possible and that damage is minimal but i can't help myself to get a bit cynical. He probably got his stay comped for that tweet of endorsement. Celebrities do it all the time.

The politicians and governments (bringing people along) can help bring awareness and legislation to move things along faster if only they would try. Celebrities ARE responsible too, they are not the only to blame of course (OBVIOUSLY). We need a shift in values. It's as plain and simple. All i am trying I am trying to say is: If a celebrity with x-amount of followers posts a cool motor-bike, a fancy Car, walk in closet, mansion it goes further than them just living that life-style...it promotes it as cool, finds people aiming for the same thing and doing the same things. And yes i know everyone is responsible on their own as well. Pounding on indivial action would make Sense, if those people who really lived it could live within the 2,5 tonnes of Carbon scientist say everyone has per year. Right now Amazon is dropping a good Million in ONE city (Seattle) to lobby against a progressive candidate (Unions, worker rights, living wage) and the Fossil fuel industry has dropped hundreds of millions in the EU to fight effective legislation. Ffs the German administration just blatantly ignored 1,4 mio people on the streets and germans are hard to get in the street in the first place! If lipservice were enough we would have saved the earth 100 times over. Btw. Dems take Fossil fuel money as well (at least those that have been pushed by the dnc in the past).

Thought of that too. But it only works with celebrities to a certain degree because i doubt any hotel would want a big crowd like Mendes or Bieber pull infront disturbing their other guests lol

I both agree and disagree. Certainly changes in corporate policy would have a quicker significant impact and electing politicians who care about the environment would provide a boost in making changes. But those type of changes can begin with individuals accepting that their personal behaviors and actions can make a difference. For instance when a teacher casually requires that young students put unwanted drawings in a recycle bin or snotty tissues in a compost bin, then we are modelling behaviors that can grow into collective action. We must care and that care begins by acting individually despite how insignificant it might appear.

Don't know about Mendes as I don't pay a lot of attention to him. But Bieber certainly did them at one time.

My firm believe is we need both individual and coorporate/political action and arguing which one is more important is a waste of valuable time and energy. Although i have to admit that i see the burden on the political side right now when rwe who runs the biggest lignine coal mines lets their coal power plants they would have shut down anyway for inefficiancy reasons run longer on paper to collect big money to "close them down" which they would have done anyway.
