A Change is gonna come is here already. The new reality will be especially difficult for those who want to hold on to the past. Forward thinking folks will relish and emprace it. Adam sees it too.

That's great to give him the space to believe what he wants but in my opinion he should do the same for his fans. I think it's unrealistic for an artist to think all of his fans will follow in lock step what he thinks and tell us to F off if we don't. I am far more educated than Adam and have lived more life and I think my opinions should have value just as his do. I may listen to a song that interests me here and there but I'm finished having spotify running all day, voting for him on polls, sticking up for him when people bring the gay hate and I will never spend another penny on a concert or merchandise. A lot of us are more educated than Adam and have lived at least a longer life, if not more life. But it does not make any of us smarter or wiser in every way, so there lies the disconnect in my opinion. Not sure what there is to disagree with him about. I doubt any of us think it was okay for Mr. Floyd to be killed on the street by that police officer. I don't think any of us agree with racism, homphobia and discrimination. And if Black Lives don't matter to some (which is what he was advocating) then they should have kept it to themselves instead of sending him messages on his feed. If he swatted them away then good for him. They were trying to hurt and antagonize and he was not having it. There are always going to be those who think they are more superior than others (and to Adam) but most of us understand why that would not sit well with him. I'm pretty sure there are many of his fans who support HeWhoCannot amed and his foolishness but they all know Adam is not one of them. Why would he support a man who makes threats when he can't have things his way? Tantrums. Sometimes carrying out the threats no matter who gets hurt. Why would fans get mad because Adam thinks he is a fool and doesn't support him? We all know Adam was not supporting the violence and destruction but some claimed that was what they were against, as if he was in favor of it. I thought that was insulting. So I have yet to hear what opinion he gave that was so offensive to some. That he does not follow the conspiracy theories? A lot of people are taking a stand and speaking out right now and I am proud of Adam for being one of them. I will buy his music, stream and attend his concerts because I think he is a good man as well as a talented man. Nothing about this has changed for me. He seems like the man I thought he was. And he is still so handsome, lol. Well said, lurleene. I can't imagine why anyone would disagree with what Adam is saying. It just makes so much sense. I love Adam as a whole person, but just as a singer. I think we've known him long enough to understand what kind of person he is. he is compassionate and kind. As for age, I know some "older" people in my life whose beliefs I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. It's not about age. It's about character. I will continue to support Adam, buying his music, streaming and viewing, and attending concerts whenever I can. He is a quality person.

I love Adam as a whole person too. I think I understand him pretty well. He told one fan "If you can't accept the fact that I reject the fool/HeWhoCannot amed.....then unfollow me". Well I can accept that fact since we've known how he's felt since his soapbox talks during the TOH tour and we've known his politics from the beginning altho he wasn't as vocal back then. I can be a fan and not agree with him on some things but respect his views and feelings. I've been told by a few mega Glamberts you all know that I can't say I love him or be a "true" fan unless I reject my beliefs and believe and support everything Adam believes and supports...group think. A few have blocked me and a couple really close Glambert friends I had for years are no longer friends. This isn't recent, but began a couple of years ago. They chose politics over friendship. I see very little tolerance from the "tolerant left". But that's on them They can't force me out of the fandom...and I'm not planning on leaving.

I have dear close friends whose politics are the polar opposite of mine. But we are still friends and will remain so. We aren't letting that destroy a whole friendship. Adam brings us together for many reasons. I hope that bond is strong for most of us and that we'll stick together as a group and enjoy him for the whole person that he is.

Dang it, I still can't do emoticons on this site, nor can I see them.
I agree, Bamafan...I'd have to ditch most of my family if I couldn't tolerate their politics lol.
I will say, however, that I'm totally on board with Adam on this. There should be no differing opinions about the fact that innocent black people are getting killed by police. What is there to differ on?
I love him, and I'm glad he's feeling braver about speaking out. I'm sure he thinks about the possible dangers to Terrance, and Johnny, etc.

Hate is Not an opinion Injustice is not an opinion Racism is Not an opinion Discrimination is not an opinion
It's not debatable, undebatable so to speak. From what i gather Adam thinks so too and i can't say i disagree.

I have been called ignorant by one of my sisters for daring to express a different opinion from her and her husband who are die-hard HeWhoCannot ameders. We got into a huge fight over Brett Kavanaugh for goodness sakes and have not spoken much since then. This is the same sister who was beside me working on RFK's Oregon campaign in 1968.
