I applaud Adam's stance and am also completely unsurprised - he has numerous family (because it is obvious for him his friends are family) who are African American. I am also watching the current situation in US in horror and dismay. Here in Australia we have our own sad history of racism towards our indigenous people and a huge rally is being planned for this weekend in Melbourne. Apart from the obvious concerns around the pandemic, the spectre of outside actors creating mayhem and triggering police violence is very real. The negativity bias of media (both news and social) is a terrifying aspect, not to say horrific stuff isn't happening. It is. But it's not all that's happening. There are stories of humanity and hope from both protesters and police that get scant regard. Neuroscience research estimates it takes 7 positives to overcome a negative. We are awash in negativity. Positive doesn't stand a chance. So many people are angry, feel helpless and afraid. I can't speak for anyone else but I know I don't make good decisions when I feel that way. So right now I'm following Nike's suggestion and to "for once, don't do it". The most useful thing I can do is listen, observe and try and understand. For anyone interested here is a good article that breaks down the psychology of what's going on as opposed the politics... I like this quote from the article: "With the exception of truly heinous shit, most people are not motivated by evil intentions. In fact, it’s usually the opposite — most people do awful things with the best of intentions" markmanson.net/chaos-and-uncertainty?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=instagram-bio-link&utm_content=2020-06-02Stay safe. Love and hugs.

I'm assuming this includes part of the interview Adam did with them. Really good interview. Hopefully we'll see it one way or the other.

Love seeing Adam again speaking at that RESIST MARCH event a while back. He is an EXCELLLENT public speaker, articulate and confident. Hope he gets to do more of it years to come.
The "Making Music In Lockdown" thing looks interesting. And yes, I assume at least some of Adam's interview will be included. Hope we get to see it.
As for the government leaving bricks all around in hopes that people will start throwing them? I have my doubts. Just sayin'.
