Just watched the Osaka video of 'Chokehold'. 'Chokehold' has me. I've felt the message - the irresistible urge for that feeling, that bad feeling; that dark, forbidden sex feeling, again and again. I spun away, watching Adam perform it in Europe last winter; sweating through the white shirt. I just don't get it this time. Think I know why. This song should not have the VJJs doing their choreographed moves alongside. Just doesn't compute. This raven-haired, sex-soaked-sheet song doesn't mix - shouldn't mix - with the one-step, two-step foot and arm play of the backup singers. Kesha & Reyna should be in shadow; adding vocal color but barely moving. Okay. JMHO anyway. Done for now. Back to packing up for Burning Man. The starry night will understand my rant, I hope. Rats - I just feel this stage 'stuff' might have gotten in the way of a brilliant song; and made it just another good performance. |

Just watching the Osaka vids and I have to ask, is this a new arrangement? It is really fast and almost sounds like a remix version. I actually, really, really liked it! And I am no fan of NCOE
