Yes gelly, I was kidding about the wine. I'm already exhausted. Pain pill, a little reading here and sleep.

Hi everyone. Thanks sooooo much for all of the great vibes, wishes and pm's. Just spent 6 hours at the dermatologist. Taking a break at home and off to the plastic surgeon at 5. I don't know how to express how much I'm looking forward to those pain meds and a huge bottle (I mean glass) of wine. My right eye is swollen shut, but the good news is he didn't have to cut my eyebrow off. Got a hole the size of a silver dollar on my forehead, but I'm ready to let the plastic surgeon work his magic. BBL to look at some more beautiful pictures and read everyone's interesting, insightful and funny comments. xoxo BRAVO, SUGAREE!!! You sound like you are handling this very well. There is so much love coming your way from Atoper's! Neato, huh? All the best at the plastic surgeon's!! ;D ;D

From The Daily Mail….. quote Steve Gray
“Adam Lambert got a little over-excited while dancing and bashed his head on the ceiling.”
It’s fucking easy. We gays love life and have energy, and we also wave our arms around and jump. he would have been doing that and ‘SMACK’ I have broken light fittings and bashed my head on ceilings 5 times. It’s just what we do.

ETA: I've gotta say, I haven't seen it, but I don't get the concept of "The Voice" at all. I mean, isn't that the whole lesson Idol learned with Adam--that it's not just about singing ability, its about spectacular singing ability PLUS being a great, all-round performer? Isn't that supposedly what tanked season 9? That they didn't select performers? I mean, obviously Adam's voice is incredible, but what really grabbed me from Satisfaction onwards was what a confident, carismatic, fun PERFORMER he was! FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT, right? Entertainment is about more than just hitting the notes and singing pretty. It's about moving, and dancing, and doing something with your face (cough, Lee D., cough). It's about owning your song. That's what Adam tried to convince them all of when he mentored Elvis week. That's what Elvis was about, too. I don't see how the judges of this new show are going to evaluate all this without being able to see the contestants--seems to me they're just asking for a boring winner. I see what you're saying but Adam couldn't get signed partially because of his look, despite have that voice and I think that is the point of this show. the majority of the idol contestants aren't "label" made which is why most if not all have struggled at some point to get signed for a recording contract. They look before they listen and a lot of talented people aren't given the chance to show what they can do. IMO it's great that they are judging first based on their vocal abilities. IMO, again, some of the contestants who have gotten through recently on idol have gotten through simply because of their "look" and not based on their vocal talent (looking at you bikini girl ). Music in general is sorely lacking artists who can actually SING and SING WELL and I think people in general might be getting sick of that so perhaps it'll be refreshing to see someone who, while traditionally not what people would expect, vocally is what people want. I thought Adam said he couldn't get signed because he didn't have a fan base. That's why he went on Idol. Whatever, these people in the music industry obviously don't want to take any chances.

Another reminder to vote. www.q102.com/pages/interactive8.html#8 last night - we have to do better or he'll fall out of the top 8. Wow this board is slow. Is it just me? Ooops. Sorry I just saw myspenser's reminder. Better too many than not enough. Yep.

It’s just what we do. Gotta love a good sense of humor..what a great visual: broken light fittings, ceilings in near collapse all over LA. Boi's know how to PARTAY. I'll bet Steve Gray is a hoot with a big ol' smile with those wavy arms, jumping. Good for him.
