He knows discrimination first hand and now that he is famous, he gets his share of bullying too. He definitely knows what he is talking about. Of course he knows discrimination. But then, who doesn't? And he probably learned most of it after he became famous. He's probably encountering more homophobia, more injustice and more discrimination now than he ever did before. But IMHO it's not the same thing at all. Adam felt like the weird kid when he was young, but at least he didn't have a group of people constantly putting him down and making him feel like a worthless freak. When you're a kid, when you haven't had time to come into terms with who you are, when you still haven't shaped yourself as a person... It's very, very harmful to have that kind of experience. That's where suicide because of bullying comes from. When you're an adult, of course it hurts... But you have the means to look at it from a different perspective in which THEY are the ones who are in the wrong. It's not my intention to downplay what Adam's gone through at all, don't get me wrong. But I do think it's not the same. I don't know if I'm explaining myself properly... My English isn't good enough for this debate. lol

What a wonderful radio segment of Adam talking with and counseling Whitney who had been bullied but turned the tables on the thoughtless young people that thought they would make sport of her! She held her head high and stood there with all the other winners for each class. She inspired many people and, hopefully, taught a few bullies a little humanity in the process.
Adam's music and who he is as a person is inspiring and healing to many people. He 'connects' on so many levels with people....and that is what is the most important thing, to me, about music. All the worry about radio spins, Top 40 hits, and record charts can never take away the true value of an artists' music which to me is making a difference...helping and inspiring someone to be a better person.
Adam makes amazing music...we fans know this...but he also gives us so much more than just his music. I will do my promoting of Adam through voting on contest, requesting his songs, buying his music, and telling everyone what an amazing talent he is in the music world. But what I won't do is wring my hands and worry about radio. Adam will succeed with or without radio. JMO

Just want to clarify one more time. It's OK to only put a name on the mediabase request forms? We don't have to fill out the rest of the info? I had the strangest experience with them. The first time I've done it, that first radio station form wouldn't get accepted until I typed everything, absolutely everything. I tried to lie about my country, zip code, age, but, as if I were in twilight zone, until I gave truthful data, they wouldn't accept my request. And now, each time I fill in mediabase forms, for different stations at that, my info pops out by itself. Like all stations remembered my data. And it is always accepted. It's as if all radio stations have some mutual mediabase motherboard. Idk. I just type in my first name and it gets accepted.
