He knows discrimination first hand and now that he is famous, he gets his share of bullying too. He definitely knows what he is talking about. Of course he knows discrimination. But then, who doesn't? And he probably learned most of it after he became famous. He's probably encountering more homophobia, more injustice and more discrimination now than he ever did before. But IMHO it's not the same thing at all. Adam felt like the weird kid when he was young, but at least he didn't have a group of people constantly putting him down and making him feel like a worthless freak. When you're a kid, when you haven't had time to come into terms with who you are, when you still haven't shaped yourself as a person... It's very, very harmful to have that kind of experience. That's where suicide because of bullying comes from. When you're an adult, of course it hurts... But you have the means to look at it from a different perspective in which THEY are the ones who are in the wrong. It's not my intention to downplay what Adam's gone through at all, don't get me wrong. But I do think it's not the same. I don't know if I'm explaining myself properly... My English isn't good enough for this debate. lol You're explaining yourself perfectly. This is what the "It Gets Better" campaign is telling kids. Don't give up now because you will get stronger. You will know who you are and you won't let the bullies win. As hopeless as it seems now, it will get better. Teenagers are so vulnerable and everything can seem like the end of the world. They just have to hang on or they'll never know how wonderful their lives might be.

I'm still trying to catch up with the thread, but does anyone know what this was in reference to? Am in a rush, but see Terra's download on p. 13. Re a Ryan Seacrest interview with homecoming queen who had been harrassed. Adam called in and talked w/her... Sweet! ETA: At about 13:00 Thanks! So sweet!
