Wow They let me whack away until we got it to 80%!!! I am sure there was some help from some of you because the numbers starting jumping. That was fun! I was with you until they "blocked" me. ;D But there's another two songs there right now. ??? Did we win then? Going to bed, Atop family! See ya all tomorrow! I wonder if Adam will wake me up... By the way, the winners of the Trespassing contest are starting to get e-mails from Adam's Direct Management asking for their mailing addresses. Wonder what they will get...

Adam would have made a good social worker - he has strong empathy and isn't afraid to show vunerability (which is a very different thing than being vunerable). Building on the conversation this may be a somewhat unpopular opinion so please feel free to scroll.
There is a big difference between genuine bullying and "that person was mean to me or doesn't like me." When I was in school I was often "picked on" as we called it then, by the cool kids, the big kids, the whoever kids. I spent lots of time on my own, but I also had some friends on the fringes. My family was not necessarily "there for me" either - they did let me know it was ok to be who I was, but in general I had to solve things for myself. I am a more resilient and self-reliant adult because of those experiences.
I don't deny that there is genuine bullying today and that social media etc has amplified the problem. I do believe that some people cry bullying. When you grow up being told you are the bestest thing since for ever and given every little thing your heart desires it is hard to deal with "that person was mean to me"...
Carry On.

Unfortunately, I live in San Jose and my local radio station does not like to play Adam. I know this because I talked to the DJ for about 20 minutes and he told me the reasons why. Also, my emails to the PDs have been ignored. I will try for Alice, which is in SF. They had been early supporters of BTIKM and NCOE. Surprised they haven't touched TP yet. What did they give as reasons in San Jose? I am curious. Thank you for mentioning Alice, I live in SF and will also send them a request. The guy was very rude even lying saying he already played his song when he didn't. I don't want to get into too many details as I don't want to be gloom and doom (I may PM them to you later) but it boiled down to these two reasons: 1) He was irritated because he felt that Adam fans were spamming them. He said he got people calling from as far as Reno. 2) He said a couple of Adam songs didn't test well, including one song that they had already added. They use some other testing besides "Rate the Music". He said the only song that tested well was WWFM. They did play that but still not a lot compared to other artists. I think the most I remember was maybe 2-3 times a day at the height of its popularity. On an unrelated note, they did seem to like Kris Allen and they played The Vision of Love 2-3 times a day for quite a while. So I guess that must have tested well.

I can't agree with you about this. Bulllying when you are an adult is the same problem as it is when you are a child. If you are not strong enough you will be destroyed. I've seen this kind of thing when I was working as a volunteer. In one case woman was hounded by her co-workers - it ends for her with nervous breakdown and suicidal attempt. There are situations and situations, of course. I've faced bullies as an adult, and my feelings, reactions and thoughts have been completely different from those I had when I was bullied in high school. It can be very damaging too (in a situation like the one you described, for example), but I really think, having faced both situations, that it's not the same. I can be wrong, of course. This is just my opinion based on what I know from personal experience and the experiences of those I know. When you can see it from the inside the mechanisms are just the same. Even methods bullyiers are using are the same. Believe me there is no difference at all. Of course when you are grown up, you often know better how to deal with that kind of situation, but unfortunately not everyone can. I'm not saying that your personal experience is wrong (mine is exactly the same), what I want to say is that you can't generalize this kind of thing

Don't know if they have any special prize for the champion or not, but I saw they playing Trespassing at 6:00pm (their local time, I guess): www.993wajk.com/nowplaying/No atopper listen to this station? If you do, talk to them to see what they are going to do next with Trespassing.
