This conversation on facial hair is fascinating. I also thought when I saw Adam's look here; he is in competition mode, doing the opposite, standing out.....but based on the culture's preference for clean shaven, could this work against him? When in Rome..... I am not as taken by the look and performance as others are. I don't think the dancers added much. Where are their typically awesome moves? But as with most award show performances, they are often kind of weird. I am a bit surprised that Adam did not seem that familiar with K-Pop. Psy, really? But he made up for it with his reference to Big Bang wardrobe  He actually said EVERYONE knew who Psy was, then went on to speak of Big Bang. And I think he looked distinctive, different, and set himself apart with his voice, his look, and his music. I can't see Adam doing anything, in Rome or otherwise, lol, just so he can be one of the herd. It ain't his style. Basically the REALADAMLAMBERT doesn't "fit in" anywhere. He's his own zip code thank goodness. I give his performance and the Red Carpet A+++, JMHO !!! I am so happy to see you posting again! I think its been a while (unless I missed your posts)... I agree with every word! He IS his own Zip code! or his own planet! I loved EVERYTHING about the performance! |

I thought Adam looked wonderfully distinctive, which is a good thing in my book. Besides, most ppl give HUGE amounts of leeway to 'artistic types'. Everyone knows they be crazy  ;D As for the dancers, intentionally or not, that was another way in which he stood out. Most every other number was choreographed to a T and there's only so much slick dancing I can take before my eyes glaze over. ;D I might feel differently if it were a full concert but for this one performance, I thought it worked perfectly |

My thoughts and well wishes go out to Kamar and hope she will be able to join us again soon...
