OK, I am a pool of Abdul! Me too! That really was a very special moment in Adam's AI journey, actually one of my favorites! NoAngel, thank you for a beautiful piece of writing this morning. It is so true and one of the many reasons I love Adam. You have a wonderful talent yourself for writing and grasping the core of the subject. I'm about to pack my bag and get ready to pick up MsZue to head to Vancouver for a Glamnation party! Yeah, glad I'm able to make it and meet some of the fabulous Topians that reside here. Should be so much fun! Q3, I'll be watching my mailbox for that invitation to your special concert, so hope I'm invited!

I am checking in here very quickly for 2 reasons.
1st...to squee that I am headed out the door for the first leg of my 6 hour trip to the dvd watching party at Melisende's. So excited!!
2nd, and more importantly, very good post midwifespal and right on! It is so easy for the advantaged...and that includes the especially intelligent, or socially skilled, racially lucky, or talented, to sluff of any suggestion that we have an advantage not enjoyed by everyone. To do so may feel like we are not being given our full 'due'. You make some really relevant points and I applaud your courage to do so.
I completely agree and that is not because Jacob is or is not my favorite performer but because in all fairness, you are right.
Got to go......hugs and all.....sorry I won't be around to defend my comments!!! haha...not reall sorry as I intend to enjoy the next two days fully. mwaahhh

I just noticed that on Adam's charity: water page, it says 0 days left but they're still taking donations. Odd. Maybe they don't quit until it says "Closed."

I've also been listening to the Live CD in my car since receiving it in the mail -- it is truly amazing. As a singer, it is so nice to listen to someone who has such a wonderful voice live. As a fan, it's great to really be able to hear Adam sing without all the ... ummmm ... distractions of the live show. In Seattle, I was at the left corner of the stage and having Adam 3 feet from your face just DOES something to your concentration!
I will happily strap my arms down so I don't wave them too much if I could see Adam in a private concert setting. I think this is a great marketing strategy, by the way!
Thank you Q3 and No Angel for your insightful and lovely comments as always.

Cassie -- I agree with your comments as well. I have ranted on a few occasions about the attitude you wrote about. I also really appreciate Adam's attitude and outlook on life.

Gelly, I've once been to Herodium, but unfortunately did not get to see a concert there. The place is magical, the same way as Delphi; you feel like you've been transported back to history.

Wouldn't it be fun to invite and fly in all his family and friends. To meet all the people who are important in his life and talk to them. And not just about Adam but all the issues and thoughts we discuss as a result of our Adam stanning. I, for one, would love to talk to Leila about how her life has changed and so much else. It could be acoustic music, then party, then finish it off (since we would all have had a few drinks by that time) with full band and rocking out. We would then send the guests off in a limo while we stay and squee and pass out on mys*&@^#r's lawn. I will bring pillows. 8-) Just give me a two weeks notice 8-) Yeah, I'll need that two weeks notice too 8-) - and an address where to come . Finally my web connection works normally!! Off to watch all those pics sent today and yesterday which didn't show to me before - Ciao! How I missed seeing the pics - addicted to them ???.

NoAngel... beautiful essay today.. loved it.
Q3... Would be wonderful... wouldn't be able to afford a tix but would be awesome to hear about after.
Had.. Adam been voted off after those pix showed up.. He would have said "America just wasn't ready" period.. He would not have judged or implied anything.. (No I don't know Adam.. lol.. but I am sure that is what he would have said.) Not America couldn't look in the mirror.. sorry.. I am not interested really in who wins this year..but, I was slightly offended by Jacobs "in the mirror message" I didn't care for his singing before and I didn't care for it after.. and felt that message was a bit "not my fault, its Americas fault"

Thank you Q3 and No Angel for your insightful and lovely comments as always. My DH and I just sat in a hot car listening to Adam's LIVE concert CD. Our car radio is so much better than the CD player in the house. The vocals and the sound production are amazing. At one point I could hear every little tinkle of the piano keys. Soaked is our very :favorite song on the CD. We were spellbound, by Adam.. Glorious sounds from that man. Even though we're leaving for Greece ,in May,I would consider going again to hear Adam.. So please count me in too. Cassie you are so on the mark about Adam,he chooses to take the positive high road and is totally inspirational ,while doing it! NoANgel you brought me to tears again.
