Little mini rant: I have to tell you guys, with our house up for sale, its been hectic with showings. By the way I'm happy about this. But some of the peeps that view and their comments, is really disconcerting. We have a beautiful home and we tend to be very modern and a little colorful and have a lot of artwork and art we picked up in our travels. By the way, in the south all homes are colorful with the wall painting. Several ladies came thru and the feedback was they couldn't get past our decor and furniture to look at the house. We have a huge kitchen with lots of cabinets and a huge center island. The same lady asked why the cabinets on top were a different color than on the bottom. Duh, the latest and greatest kitchen are all doing this, along with when you have so many cabinets, you need to break it up. I want to tear my frakkin hair out. I know Rakistan the idjuts. Awww...that is a new trend, especially when there is a large expanse of cabinetry. The right buyer will come |

But the house sold to the right buyer..we got our price and all was well. So I wish you the best. It is disconcerting when you have such pride in your home. I had to let comments slide off. I now live in a place that has NO color on the walls and I am renting so cannae do squat about it, but I have some wam bam art on the walls!! Good luck!  |

Actually sitting on pins and needles. Did home inspection for new home Friday and tonite the sellers were given the list - I shortened what they needed to do. They did something stupid. They occupied this brand new home 7 years ago without doing an inspection. Most items are under builder's warrantyand weren't done properly by the builder. I am hoping there is no back-up offer and they tell us to walk. I want this frakkin house. We also got Radon. |

I haven't received mine either. I really would love to receive it because I will probably never have an opportunity to meet Adam in person to get something autographed. What is being recommended regarding this? Since I received an e-mail, voicefan53, and a number of people have not received their photos either, I am going to wait and stop ninja-ing the postal carrier. I only recommended that lascontact charity:water because she did not even receive the e-mail, so her name may have been one that was missed. Did you get an e-mail? I would hope this charity doesn't get deluged with requests for photos. I think the photos are now in AFL's camp. Correct me if I am wrong, please. I wasn't trying to start a RAK STAN stampede  I received the email and included my name in the Subject Line as instructed and my address in the text field. I'll just wait a while longer and hope it shows up. |

I have a friend who is an extremely successful real estate agent. The first thing she "requests" sellers do is repaint all walls in a neutral color. I hate it, but is is what you are supposed to do.... how depressing is that? |
