Hi Shapers - this is our 2015 party thread. You know, the parties where you dance your a** off. Well, that's what we are hoping for anyway.
The theme this year is WHAM!
Check in is as per normal on Wednesday for the majority and other days as easiest for some.
Rules are simple - try to check in once a week with your progress which can be as detailed as you want. Share your secrets to getting in shape. You can concentrate on losing weight, getting fit, maintaining what you have, eating better or any other goal you have.
And if you fall off the wagon? We'll circle around and come pick you up again, we're freindly like that. Oh, yeah, and you can start any time of the year not just on New Years.

I am fighting a chest cold and sinus congestion right now so screw it, gonna eat what I want and deal with the fallout later. Plan to enjoy my days off. Don't go back to work til the 6th unless I get more calls from customers.

The whole holiday season from Thanksgiving on was bad for me and last night reading Atop and all the joy basking gave me the munchies too. I'm giving myself points today for every time I get up and drink water.
Luv to all of ya for stickin' with this.

I'll be here too again this year. Been putting weight back on since a trip to Europe in September, but especially in the last few weeks. Love the stollen, love the chocolate! So starting Monday, back to losing rather than gaining! Great to see the familiar faces, and hopefully some new ones too!

I have been on the wieght loss journey since October and I have managed to lose about 13 pounds so far. I need to lose another 10-15 pounds to be at a healthy weight for my height, build and age.
My motivation began when I started cleaning out my closets and saw all my beautiful clothes that I could not wear anymore...............from my business clothes to my leisure and party clothes all waiting to be worn again. Anyway, I am determined to get rid of my fat clothes and rediscover many favourite outfits.
First, I discussed with my doctor my desire to lose the extra baggage and he advised me to do it slowly .5 - 1 lbs per week. What has worked so far for me is to record my daily in-take of food and exercise. Also, I am already back in some of my favourite clothes and that keeps me motivated. For 2015 I want to achieve my ideal weight and keep it off permanently.
I'll be here Wednesday's to check-in.

I will be here Wednesday also. I have been so bad since Thanksgiving that I have almost gained back any weight I lost over the last two years. I would really like to take 20 pounds off to be really, really healthy. I do exercise everyday and my DH and I bought a bike which we use everyday (religiously). My husband has not been well since October but is finally on the mend. We both need healthy, sugar free meals once again. There will be no desserts other than fruit and portion control is the key for us. We can do it if we stick to our diet. We have done it three times before in our married life.
When you get older it is harder to reduce. Your exercise routine is greatly diminished due to old and creaky joints. Muscle mass has decreased in both of us, but we muscle on the best we can.
I will see everyone Wednesday. Thanks Jablea for the weight loss clinic every year. Good luck to all.

If you are tracking food check out myfitnesspal They have a huge database of already input items and you can add things if you need to. The free version is all you really need and the mobile app has a barcode scanner option for input. I've been using it since 2012 and it works great. It also links up with other things like the fitbit, various exercise apps, as well as wifi scales and other equipment. The one firm commitment I made when I started loosing weight was to record everything and that more than anything else has made a huge difference for me.
