I totally understand how you feel, Skylar. I was shocked at the way things were handled. And how the board disappeared while we were on-line, in a concert thread, during the concert. Poof! The only thing I know now is that I totally trust Q3 and know it will never happen here. You have my assurance that it will never happen here. Never!! Thank you, Q3!! May the photobucket gods gift you a pyramid and a spare ankh or two soon

Why am I so special?????
I am buried this weekend but I will set up my own photoserver next weekend. However -- the task of redoing all the photos and banners with new links is too daunting to comprehend.
I wonder if 0.25% is really correct? But it does seem like everyone I know if back but me.

Thank you Q3.I will never forget how suddenly lost and alone I felt when PF went dark. In a panic of sorts, I searched around in cyberspace for fellow PF'rs. We were advised by Rowe to find another Adam board, but I didn't know where to go until I finally wound up at the fan club and some kind soul had posted a link to a new Adam board that Q3 had created - Adamtopia. Couldn't wait to get here and then when I saw some familiar names and faces I was so happy I cried. I love this board and those who dwell within. 8-) Me too! Me three. Thank goodness the link to ATOP was posted in the Fan Club.

I just want to clarify. There is sheer genius here and beautiful, witty, amazing conversations that take place here on Atopia. In no way was I saying PF was better. I am a researcher and what we lost were some of the early, hysterical, wise, insightful responses to and analysis of first time Adam experiences. I did and do value these early field notes of the A.L. experience as one special and, yes, important part of the story of the A.L. phenomenon. I love all kinds of historical documents : )

I love all kinds of historical documents : ) I understood and share your desire for all of that all material. I collected stats for Adam's iTunes and Amazon ranks all over the world so we could compare them to his second album. I really would like to have my numbers. And there were some jewels posted there in the threads. But the world turns -- and things change. It is way we sometimes need to seize the moment.

Just a comment on the return of PF -- the only thing that has anything to do with me on that blog is I designed the logo that Rowe has used on the new blogsite. I would love to have access to many of the threads on the old forum -- particularly the numbers threads, original articles and the concert thread. Many people put a huge amount of time into creating them -- but no one spent more time than me putting together an accurate record of everything Adam for a year. But, I have moved on. I get great joy from this site. I have no commercial aspirations. I do not want to "monetize" this site or build my journalistic career. I just want to have a bit of fun and enjoy this amazing community. I wish Rowe the best but this is perfect for me. It is a real 'topia. Since I found Adam over two years ago, I do not think I have not missed a day of lurking. Can't thank Q3 enough for all that she does.

ah, you are wise beyond your posting years. there is no disloyalty to be part of more than one site. Not enough hours in the day! ;D And Pasta Baby, so sorry about your 11 year old board being gone. Boards do become a community. Real connections are formed. I can relate to how you are feeling. For you > thx for the good wishes. A far as not enough hrs in a day - the other boards I am on are not Adam fan boards so they do not need the constant attention. For the board I was on for 11 yrs, sometimes I would be there daily, sometimes I would take a break. There were ebbs and flows. People came, people went, people came back. We started on a big political board, moved to another political board, and eventually became general news people with a love for reality shows. Our group composition was also different than the Adam fan boards. We had more men; mostly gay. gak, I'm feeling too melancholy. but I am just trying to show you that there is room for different boards.

We share so much. So much joy and worry, ideas and conversation, we cover the gamut from shallow-end flail to life-affecting experiences. Whether it's the death or birth of a loved one, a sick family member or pet, the loss or gain of a job, we ALWAYS know we have someone to talk to here. People may not be able to respond as quickly as we'd hope, but turns out, we find they are always reading and feeling what we feel right along with us. We have built a community and we can be moved geographically, but you cannot break the bonds that have occurred because we connected. I adore you all and you have made my life so much richer. I've never laughed so much, felt so connected or had as much fun as when I discovered or helped form an online community. I find the entire experience awesome and wouldn't trade it for the world. LOVE IT. It's been a blast and still is. Can't wait for the next turn around the roller coaster and so glad you are all on this ride with me. *hug*
