Top 40 update! 50 stations are now spinning, only 36 are listed on All Access. Those 36 are giving ALN 356 spins. So, my guess is that the actual spin count is around 400. the #50 CHR shows 648 spins (kworb), so hopefully ALN will show up in a week or so...

This is the category of WTF do I know. 648 seems high for entry level. But on the other hand, x number of radio stations have only y number of spin slots available. So the spin number to get on the chart should be more or less in the same ballpark. Does anyone remember how many spins it took for GT to get on the Pop charts? Doing my presentation soon at a conference on Magical Voice. I will be human again afterward.

Often, high 500s will get you to 50. However, if you remember, for GT, the spin count on Top 40 was very high all the way from 1-50. Ghost Town needed 800 to make #50! So let's be thankful it is not THAT high now! GT first hit the charts of CHR on 5/4 at #48 with 815 spins.
^^ That was the Monday after adds day. So, it missed that official chart by one day. Official debut was 5/10 at # 42. I am expecting ALN to hit Top 50 the week of Nov. 30th. Slight chance for the end of this week coming. But I figure it needs another 7-10 days before it hits.

Chart update from the Netherlands. GT dropping off the charts.
Ghost Town: NL Top 40: Dropped out (from #32) (25 weeks, peak #6) Mega Top 50: Dropped out (from #47) (26 weeks, peak #3) Single Top 100: #59 (from #42) (27 weeks, peak #8) iTunes Top 30: Not charted anymore. (22 weeks, peak #5) Slam 40: Not charted anymore. (18 weeks, peak #3) Global Dance Chart: Not charted anymore. (20 weeks, peak #12)
Another Lonely Night: NL Top 40: Not charted anymore. (2 weeks, peak #35) Mega Top 50: Not charted anymore (4 weeks, peak #46) Single Tip (pre-chart Single Top 100): Dropped out (from #25) (5 weeks, peak #4) Slam 40: #16 (from #12) (8 weeks, peak #10)
After a great run in our charts GT dropped out of the two major charts this weekend. It's still holding on in the Single Top 100 and as long as it is in the top 100 in Spotify it will stay there probably, but it's dropping there as well. GT is still being played quite often though on Q-music and also the other stations are giving it spins.
ALN was only played on SLAM! this week. Radio 538 stopped playing it after their cancelled Adam Lambert weekend. A weekend which they will do again sometime in the future though. They still got those tickets to give away.
On the Shazam chart ALN gained some spots last week to #32 from #43). It got played some more than the week before so I guess that's the main reason for that.
ETA: GT is currently holding the #12 position on the Top 40 chart for 2015. I expect it will get passed by a couple of songs, but hoping it can keep #15 (which seems very likely). Making GT the #15 song of 2015 on the top 40 chart!

Never heard of this so I looked up his "about." one guy's personal favorite songs. Guess he likes Adam! About
What To Expect
Welcome to the Hit 45 Chart! Every week, I post a countdown consisting of 45 of my personal favorite songs at the moment. They usually contain mostly hit music, but they may also contain songs you've never heard before and songs that unfortunately did not make it to the radio. Keep in mind that this chart is based just about entirely on my own opinion. So don't start bashing in the comment section simply because you think my opinion is "wrong". Each and every one of us are entitled to our own opinions, especially when it comes to music.

Top 40 update! 50 stations are now spinning, only 36 are listed on All Access. Those 36 are giving ALN 356 spins. So, my guess is that the actual spin count is around 400. I count 40 stations listed between the leaders and starters boards 32 on starters and 8 on leaders that aren't starters. My spin total for those stations comes out to 356 with a move of 242. The spincrease report shows a move of 252 and 50 stations leaving 10 spins and 10 stations unlisted. I paged back through my file and I don't show any record of stations showing up on the starters list with only 1 spin. So it could be that the 10 stations not listed each spun 1 time. Or they could have been beyond 7 days but spinning less than 7 times for the week because it appears that to be on the leaders chart they have to have at least 7 spins. So there could be more spins unaccounted for since we don't actually have the spin count, just the move and the totals for the stations listed. So the spin count should be at least 366 but could be more. Don't think it could be more than 416 because assuming 10 stations at 6 spins each gives only 60 spins. I did find 1 discrepancy as there are 2 Burlington stations that added on the 17th and 1 of them (WXZO) showed up on the starters report for the 19th only at 2 spins but then was not shown again. Today's starters for the 21st shows the other Burlington station (WXXX) for 2 spins. Neither station showed on the report for the 20th. Now I think that was a correction because if it wasn't that would leave 8 spins across 9 stations which doesn't make sense. However the whole thing with the new stations and new spins from the taking off chart is sort of confusing because it looks like those numbers are just for the day not for the 7 day period. So it's really confusing to try to track down things that are missing when you aren't really sure what the numbers represent. We already discussed the fact that it seems possible for the Move and Stations numbers from spincrease to include un-monitored stations. At least that was what I observed at points during GT's run. Anyway for some stupid reason today I went through the entire top40 market listing comparing it to today's report and the add list and checked all of the playlists that would come up. I didn't find any listings on playlists that weren't on leaders and starters. There are 12 stations spinning/spun that have not yet added and 5 that have added but haven't shown up as spinning on All Access. No guarantees but I may try to check this on Sunday's going forward but since it took me most of the day I can't promise I'll do this every week. I only did this for Top 40. Maybe I should have done HAC instead to see how it matched up to the chart but that's not going to happen this week for sure. At this point my brain is fried so I have no idea if any of that made any sense whatsoever. LOL
