Don't plan to watch Gaga (never liked her) but I am still curious on why in the world would they have female singer do a tribute for a male singer? Just doesn't seem right to me. I can't imagine a female doing a long tribute to Elvis or Freddie Mercury or Michael at a major awards show either.

That's like saying, you can't wear blue because you're a girl...what's gender got to do with it?
Thanks for the video, Cassie. How much more is there, as it cuts off, how long was the tribute?

Loved Gaga at the Superbowl, but that Bowie "tribute" left me totally uninspired and confused.

No it's not. That's silly. So why aren't there more female Elvis or Michael impersonators? You know what the biggest complaint about the Queen Extravaganza is? That there is a female in the show who is singing Freddie songs. When Whitney died, why didn't they have a bunch of males singing her songs during major award shows as tributes?

Well, if gender's very important to you......... For a long tribute for someone who has passed away on a major televised show, I think you are more likely to see artists who are of the same sex doing the tributes. Look at the Freddie Mercury tribute with an audience of a billion. Most of the artists were male. Don't make me out to be the only person who has questioned this because I have seen others on the internet ask the same question. You haven't answered mine. Where were all the male artists on major award shows doing tributes to Whitney Houston?
