Once again - it's not jealousy. I'm not even sure where you get that from...And again the idea that someone couldn't possibly not like Adam because they just...don't like Adam. They MUST have an ulterior motive! I mean if I was to go that route I would talk to posters like you and say..."You like Adam better than Freddie? NO WAY! You must be jealous that Freddie has so many hit singles and is considered the world over to be one of the greatest if not the greatest frontmen in the history of music, in the rock and roll hall of fame, sold over 300 million albums...yada yada yada....you only wish Adam had that kind of success!" But I don't. Because I get it - it's your opinion...and you don't have to have an ulterior motive... Anyone who spends that much time every time that Adam performs with Queen (trying to convince everyone that Adam is not as good as his fans and people think he is) would be green with envy. But if it makes the QOL people feel better after 25 years to have a target and it makes them happy to spend their time being threatened by the new sexy frontman with the great voice, they can have at it. Queen and Adam are still going to put on a show and please as many fans as they can. There is just nothing the envious can do about it other than whine. But who is doing that? No one is spending a lot of time doing anything. They've said their piece...and if someone comes in showing new things, they may look and say their piece again...it's not as if they are spending their lives doing it. You say this about reviewers who aren't glowing also...Reviewers who go to shows and write what they think. They are getting decent reviews. Some don't think he quite measures up. It doesn't mean there's an ulterior motive of jealousy. He just doesn't do it for some people. Can you not accept that? It doesn't matter if there are a ton of fans that are happy. I mean that's great! But there are a number of fans that it doesn't do it for. And that's fine too. But it's not jealousy or an ulterior motive...it's simply different tastes... I mean if you are talking QOL? I can only think of one user over there who is an anti-Adam person and not even much of a Queen fan. I can think of one other who is fairly vicious in his hatred. And finally I can think of one passive-aggressive type. That's about it on the whole board. There are others who are not big fans of Adam but they don't spend much time doing much about it or whining or complaining. They simply say they aren't into it. *shrugs*

danae, your post makes a lot of sense. But also understand that a lot of us never saw Freddie. Many fans coming to the shows did not see Freddie wQueeen. But we should be able to love and admire what Queen and Adam are doing today without being told over and over again that he is not Freddie so not good enough. We know he is not Freddie cause he is Adam. Why can't we go nuts over Adam on an Adam site without others getting offended? No one ever said Adam was the original or wrote the material. We are excited about the voice, the sexy style and the performances. If people are upset because he is singing music made famous by Freddie with Queen, then they should take it up with Brian and Roger and Adam. But on this Adam site if I think he is good, I am going to enjoy it and say as much. Freddie's legacy is not going anywhere because we think Adam is doing a fantastic job as the frontman today. I would never go to a Freddie or Queen site to talk about Adam and how good I think he is so I say it here. As for getting upset if someone sings Adams's songs (to rave reviews) 25 years after his death, I am pretty confident I would not go on an endless and futile rant about it. Opinions are not going to be changed because it makes someone unhappy. TBH, I don't even think about Freddie when Adam is performing with Queen unless someone brings him up.

I think I should clarify something. I'm not upset that Adam is singing Queen songs that Freddie wrote (some of) and made famous. I'm thrilled, because I get to hear them live. I also think that you are perfectly fine to go nuts over Adam and how good he is (and he is really good). The issue some people have I think is when they hear that Adam does it better. I was just trying to explain from a longtime Queen fan's perspective. I personally think that there shouldn't be any comparisons at all, that Adam is doing a fantastic job, and I hope he continues to do this for many years.
