LOL, of course Paula would get that song. She was so funny on that season of Idol. I am sure they all knew Adam was gay, but I was waiting for Paula to jump over that desk and attack him. She really looked like she was enamored with him. Waiting for her to jump his bones (as they used to say).

Fun surprises this morning! Like that little clip with David A and Paula. How long ago was that, I wonder?
And Marry The Night was a highlight of Adam on Glee. A highlight of MANY, I should say!
It was too late for me to respond to lat night's comments about favorite Adam Idol songs. I love to go back to "If I Can't Have You" and "Beth." I esp. love IICHY. Paul almost fainted after he sang it. And Simon even managed to gush a bit after that song. And "Beth" was a sweet surprise snippet just before Adam turned around and sang with KISS. Ahhh, those were the days.
Season 8 turned Idol on its head.

Keith Urban (before he became an Idol judge) said in an interview once that he was amazed when he saw Adam turn IIHY into a torch song. That was a great performance. Also Whole Lotta Love, Ring of Fire, A Change is Gonna Come, Tracks of my Tears and Mad World in the black coat for me.
I just read an article about Jelly Roll. I knew he had been to jail when he was younger but he turned his life around. Now at 39, he's had two Grammy nominations (one for bests new artist) and has won or been nominated for numerous awards in rock, Alt, and country. But what I didn't know was he had been to prison for aggravated robbery and another time for multiple drug selling offenses. And I knew that Chris Brown had won and been nominated for multiple Grammy's after his attack on Rihanna. They both get great radio play on multiple charts. While I believe in second chances, who knew the industry was so forgiving for some? Makes me wonder what and why some offences or missteps are so egregious that one has to work so very hard to overcome either particularly or if they are ever truly forgiven at all. Maybe Diddy will be lucky and won't have too much to worry about and his career will move on as usual.

I think my favorite was Tracks of My Tears, if I had to pick, but so difficult to do. It was so beautifully done, I was mesmeized. It also showed what he could really do. Sing the phonebook as Randy would say. As far as rocker type songs, I have to say Whole Lotta Love. He's just great no matter what he does.
