I make an Italian sausage and chicken soup with kale and garbanzo beans.
Also, sauteed kale with garlic and olive oil...
Actually, you can throw it into a lot of different sautes, soups or stews and it tastes great. My family loves it.
Have yet to try it juiced.

Kale is an "official" AFL food so posting about it is OK.  okay...does anyone have success with kale "chips"?? What oven temp and for how long?? also to relate this to Adam....I bought some coconut water today. Dear Lord and all that is Holy! What a disgusting substance! A mouthful of phlegm-like bits. Still shuddering..... Not sure what kind you bought, but fresh coconut water taste like Sprite .. less sweet.. fress means fresh from the coconut tree.. lol.. but try to add a tsp of vanila syrup and ice.. ;D |

Do we have a thread for AI this season? The singers are really good this season....much better than 9 and 10 so it is fun to watch again...so far, at least! If I were American I might actually vote which is something I was rarely tempted to want to do last year, and never the year before....:-) Yes, there is An AI11 thread under Reality TV |

Blake, the radio guy's cute and funny... funny being, if you see in the video he's getting closer and closer to Adam.. at one point he event touch Adam.. hahaha.. I think Adam sensed it.. so he teased Blake, but I'm so glad that Adam didn't hear when Blake said something about the juicer thing... :  Re the video...Contrary to what some think, I love the loud lady. She is having the time of her life and I want to do that when I ever get a chance to meet Adam (notice I said when not if). I'll bet she will remember that day forever (and I want that). I remember the day I met TJ in Atlanta and I literally jumped out of my car in the middle of the street to run to meet him. Yes I am weird but adrenalin is a powerful medium. LOL I'll never forget that feeling. I felt like I was flying. Imagine if Adam had been standing on that street....................oh my!!! ;D Joining you! loved the enthusiasm and freedom to enjoy the moment of those fans. It made this a interview relaxed and funny to watch! |

What a disgusting substance! A mouthful of phlegm-like bits. Still shuddering..... I never had bits in the coconut water I have had (unless it was straight out of a coconut). I like it as a much less sweet alternative to sports drink when I am dehydrated. Having looked at a few recipes for Kale chips before they seem to vary a lot on the temps they use. However most of them are along the lines of sprinkle some oil, put them in the oven and wait for them to be crispy. If you keep a close eye on them it probably doesn't matter what temp you choose. The ideal way to drink coconut water IMO is from a fresh coconut that a street vendor has just lopped the top off with a machete. It does have a slimy white coating inside the shell that you can eat with a spoon after you drink out the water, it's tasty and nutritious. Sometimes I find bottled coconut water a little stale or overly sweet tasting and wonder how much of the good stuff gets lost in pasteurization and bottling. It's kind of perfect for hot days after exercising though. ETA: agreeing with adamme |
