I doubt I speak for Canada particularly, but I have no issue with being called 'maam' or 'hon'. What I take umbrage to is the assumption of 'Mrs" even though I have not worn a wedding ring for over 30 years, and have used my maiden name for 17 of those years. Now that really bugs me...don't mind Miss and much prefer Ms.....I usually nicely correct to Ms. ... or in the case of the phone, hang up as that is a clear sign it is a telemarketer. :-)

Thanks guys! I wonder how much itunes sales factors into Billboard's charts. I want Bruno mars to tweet this to his 7 million fanz. Billboard Hot 100 calculation changed in March 2012. They increased the weight of streaming media. The components are Sales apx. 50%, Radio Airplay apx 40%, Streaming Media apx. 10%. The new weights for component charts have not been disclosed. Sales = Digital Track Sales - Soundscan retail sales Radio Airplay = Neilsen BDS stations weighted by Arbitron ratings (more stations than Mediabase BUT similar list. Monitor station list is NOT disclosed. Streaming media they use is the On-Demand Songs chart — that ranks singles according to the number of times they were listened to on those six Internet services — Spotify, Rhapsody, MOG, Slacker, Muve Music and Rdio. That data will then be folded into the Hot 100 chart, along with tallies of streams from sites like Yahoo, Myspace, Guvera and Akoo. The chart’s new methodology, first reported in The Wall Street Journal, still gives the greatest weight to sales, followed by radio play, and then online streaming. They are working on how to include YouTube in the calculation. More info: online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303717304577279832109374806.html The change may be good for ADAM and TRESPASSING: "The effect is most notable on electronic dance-music songs, which don't get much radio airplay and tend to attract younger listeners who may not bother buying songs from Apple Inc.'s AAPL -0.55% iTunes Store." So my honey, baby dolls start streaming!!!! Does AO Soundcloud count?

So one last question ... those of you who live in the land of no-ma'am/no-sir ... how do you address people, or do you simply not address them at all? Example: Suppose I am getting ready to attend an Adam Lambert concert in a few hours. I stop by the International House of Pancakes to stoke up with some carbs and as I'm enjoying my coffee, I see a Glambert leaving. As she leaves her tickets fall out of her purse. I would run after her screaming "Ma'am! Ma'am! Wait! Wait! You dropped something!" You? Youhoo!!!

Thom York is kind of the king of OTT body movements and facial contortions. I find it completely unenjoyable to watch him sing. A physical display of emotions in a performance is something that is often appreciated or valued by the audience. I posted this video last night as an example of someone else, other than Adam, who can communicate the pain behind their words. Watch Adele's face here, she is definitely showing a physical display of the pain she is singing about: Damn. I want Adam to have Adele's pianist. I have a total crush for his playing. Even though Adele is singing, I can't help but stare at him and his fingers...I sound weird... :-[ I love watching Beyonce's pianist. She is so expressive and totally into the music that I have played video's of Beyonce's performances just to watch her. ;D

Noreaster makes a good case but I would say the real question is - are they better tickets than the ones I have? Because if so the universe wants me to have them and is punishing the fan who cares so little she lets them fall out of her purse. Who am I to interfere with the Grand Plan? So maybe a very very quiet 'thank you!'
