I have to vent. I want to join everyone in their positivity. I know Adam is in a good place, he has accomplished so much, etc. But I feel I have just been punched in the gut and I want to cry. All the kids in the class got invited to the party except for mine. GLAAD is celebrating all the LGBT artists who got grammy nods and tweeting about it. Joe. My. God. posts an article on his blog with the list of 60 reasons to be proud this year, the best year so far. joemygod.blogspot.com/2012/12/60-reasons-to-be-proud-in-2012.html. And my Adam is not part of either. I am so happy for the amazing strides that have been made for the community. And I know Adam contributed to it whether others want to recognize him or not. It makes me sad. It makes me sick. And then I want to say just fuck them all. Like I might say to the kid that did not get the invite...it's a stupid party anyway, we can have more fun doing our on thing...Or you're too good for those silly kids, they don't know what they are missing. (but it still hurts) My solace is knowing Adam values his Glamberts and measures his success through us! I am Glambert.

I started scrolling half way through. I'm assuming no mention of Adam and his first BB #1 for an out gay man? Well that's a shame, but no way would I comment on the article and say that. Just makes one look like a crazy fan.
Which I am! ;D ;D ;D
But it is odd & disappointing for sure.

Sorry the link I posted did not work. Thanks for finding the original article on buzzfeed. I did have to comment on the article. Informational purposes only- not chastising the neglectful non-mention.
My mood did improve alot though, after hearing Andy Cohen's introduction of Adam at Cyndi's event.
I still think Adam did not get enough immediate recognition for the BB accomplishment, but maybe it will start happening now. Is it possible that "they" would want to downplay the achievement because of the gay thing? I don't know who they are and I might be too conspiratorial in my thinking at times.
I think it is interesting that Adam is popping up on tv again with the Wendy show and Soledad. Is it mostly because of Divas? Guess I will have to watch to see what the focus is.
No matter what I am so happy that he has not been forgotten or written off.

First - I don't know how to find this thread anymore. I had bookmarked it - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to find it from the Home page. QueeenAl I doubt Adam will lose Tommy anytime soon. But if it DOES happen Adam will get another guitarist. IMO Tommy is not irreplaceable. Adam is a solo artist and is the only one who is not replaceable. |

OK, regarding the Big Elephant in the room:
First, it is none of my business what happens in our idol's love life. Can you imagine what it would be like for you if everyone you knew, and more, were gossiping, speculating, worrying, imagining, and in general talking sh*t about your personal love life? Luckily, I am not in that position. Although I am not on twitter, I have been hearing "rumors" from the twitterverse since last weekend thru email, and now here they are at Atop front and center.
Second, anyone who has ever been in a long term relationship knows that at some point, the honeymoon is over, and you start to have doubts about many things. This is normal. Whether the relationship survives these doubts depends on many things.
Third, when couples have issues in their relationship, it is hard to even articulate them yourself much less your significant other. Which leads to:
Fourth, I don't believe that Adam should feel obligated discuss this or to inform the fandom on this, back to #1, it is none of our business.
I just hope that all is well, and that both of these beautiful people are happy chasing their dreams.
And, hopefully, that's all I'm going to say on this.

Glad things are working now...when I came here this morning, I had to find it through the search function and the posts were all wonky. They were in date-decending order instead of ascending and there was no 'reply' box....very odd. Perhaps it was just the system/PB....which seems to have a lot of problems, often :(
I think we are all coming from a similar place and we are just showing our care and concern. The whole difference between a casual fan and a fan-stan is that we care for the person....not just the music. All the literature we are reading talks of the importance of moving casual fans to the caring place....but caring is always a two way street. We care about the difficult as well as the fun because life is like that. It is unrealistic to expect peeps to care only for the fun.....that is sort of a "cake and eat it" situation and does not work....:-)
None of us are tweeting him or being obnoxious....just really showing our love and concern.

I've never had an interest in the Sauli relationship, I don't know much about him besides he makes Adam happy and inspired some great songs, but I think this kind of speculation and jumping to bad conclusions is like tabloid journalism territory. I don't think anyone's intentions are bad but life's too short to think negatively!! Peace and love darlings
