That z100 is saying that no one is requesting NCOE befuddles me. I looked on the mediabase form and need to ask, "Who is requesting Ellie Goulding's "Lights"? I guess everyone who knows that Adam has a new album out and is a fan has purchased the album. We don't have to hear it on the radio because we have multiple copies that we play in the car, at home, etc. So, for us, we don't need to hear it on the radio. What keeps me going on the radio requests is for radio to play it so Adam can gain new fans. I do my mediabase forms and now I've started texting. There's a few polls and countdowns that I participate in but not to an obsessive degree -- depends if I'm watching TV or stuck on the phone So, as boring as it is, let's all make at least one radio request today and continue our campaign to get Adam played!

The video seems to have disappeared too. What a cock up , why do things never run smoothly for Adam. Seriously?! Now that's just ridiculous. Surely Shoshanna isn't the one and only person in charge of this stuff? Shoshanna is not responsible for this. Looks like iTunes mucked up the dates. This is the responsibility of Sony UK.

Sorry to hit and run when I haven't posted here for a while, but real life is super busy for me right now. There's a campaign on twitter to call (most importantly) or text requests to z100. Everyone can do it from anywhere. A fan called z100 and had a nice conversation with them and they said they barely get any requests for NCOE. z100 is MAJOR and if we can have a concerted effort of all the fans we might get their attention. So I would just like to post this here: If you do ONE request today please do this (for z100): TEXT - Please Play Never Close Our Eyes to 55100, CALL (most important) 1-800-242-0100
I looked on the first page and all the radio info is awesome, but I am afraid it can be a little overwhelming (in terms of wealth of information, lots of stations, etc.). We are not a humungous fandom so I think channeling all our efforts to one huge radio station would probably make the most impact. Thank you to mys*&@^#r and rabbit and all the others who post reminders all the time in news thread. This is my PSA for the day, carry on text works, but there is no answer on the phone line...not automated and not human...just rings and eventually disconnects..

Most of the 800 numbers I have tried don't answer.

I recommend not overreacting to this comment from one person at Z100. NCOE is not on their playlist -- and they will not play it unless it is added. It is the easiest thing to say to a fan when they request a song that is not on the playlist. Requests are MORE IMPORTANT to stations that have NCOE on their playlist. WHATEVER ELSE YOU DO request from Q102 today.

At this point, should requests to Z100 still be local? Can I text from the Chicago area (I never ever do the requesting thing for stations I don't listen to, but maybe now is the time to go ahead and do it anyway? What can it hurt?)
Regarding the media base forms---a DJ friend told me they are a red flag that it's a fanbase voting and not a casual listener; he said that most listeners don't know what they are (actually, he said most station staff don't even know what they are) and that they wouldn't take the time to fill them out if they did. Anyway, keep filling them out if you want (this was info from one DJ) but text and tweet seem to be the best options. Also calls when the station is requesting them.
Eta---I tend to agree with Q3, "not enough requests" is the #1 excuse stations will use when not playing a song.

Oh, one last thing this a.m. -- my auto fill prompts on the media base form have stopped working once it gets to the e-mail block. Is anyone else having this problem?

Adam Lambert Performs At Summerthing In San Francisco [PHOTOS & VIDEOS] socialitelife.com/adam-lambert-performs-at-summerthing-in-san-francisco-photos-videos-06-2012Adam Lambert performed as part of Alice 97.3′s Summerthing at Hellman’s Hollow in Golden Gate Park yesterday (June 24, 2012) in San Francisco, California. Watch Adam’s performance of “Shady” and Donna Summer‘s “Hot Stuff” after the jump. After singing “Never Close Our Eyes,” Adam declared, “I love Donna Summer so much!” He then introduced the next song and said he was singing it “in memory of Donna.” Adam Lambert looked a world away from his usual glam rocker appearance as he donned a dapper grey suit as he performed on The Graham Norton Show last night. Host Norton was obviously impressed with the American Idol runner up, as after the recording he tweeted “@adamlambert you did a great job! Boy got lungs!! See you next time.”
